If Caleb out for extended stretch, it's Oskar Time. Pikiell has two sharp shooters on floor from deep. Spread them out and get them good looks from deep. Like Cam at Wisconsin. Oskar Time Has Arrived. I like the Wisconsin starting lineup if Caleb can't go.

When he’s been out there recently, he’s had good looks. Just needs to hit them more consistently but it’s tough to get in a rhythm with limited opportunities.

Someone doesn’t get that Oscar stepping up on offense is a big ask. Unless everything goes right, he’s going to have a couple of points. Reiber & Simpson will easily have more points than him.
Agree with your main point but I think with consistent playing time for both OP outscores Dean IMHO.

Oskar is going to have to play with Mag and Caleb out. Just have to hope he's on against Michigan and hits a couple 3's. We need more scoring and when he's on the court he needs to get a few buckets. He isn't out there for defense

Oskar, from all accounts and appearances, is a hard worker and the ultimate team player. He is first one off bench last few years going nuts when Rutgers does well even though up until recently he never played. I for one am rooting for him fiercely. I think he has a good shot and really loves playing at RU, even if not getting to play at all until recently.

Rutgers did play some matchup 2-3 zone when Big O was in the game against Wisconsin which was nice to see.
That will work against Wisky who shoots terribly. Not sure it will work against Penn St and NW. I think more Simpson and Dean with Cliff is a better solution.

They are 36% from 3 on the season. That’s better than average shooting.
Penn St is 39% and Michigan is 35%. But both are much better from two. Wisky is THE WORST B1G team from 2. Easier to have the matchup zone focus on Wiskys three when they’re so bad from two (45%)

I don't think they are that bad with him playing. And he and Cam can be lethal from 3. Anyway, if Caleb is out, Oskar is next up, with Dean/Simpson stealing some minutes.
I disagree with “lethal”, take away his 3s from a 35-point minn blowout and he shoots 30% from 3. Id rather have Simpsons D, his first step from the wing, his mid range shot and his ability to drive and dish to Cliff

Rooting for Oskar to do well. Despite his limitations and lack of PT, the guy has stayed with it and earned his chance to step up for us. If Pike believes in him, then so do I.
There's always that chance he catches fire and drops 12 from three. I think when you look at our bench options, he is out best chance of success, with a little Rieber and Simpson mixed in.

Gonna need him Wolf, and Reiber to try to slow down Reed. I dont want Hyatt on him because big he gets in foul trouble and ends up on the bench for long spells we are done

As it turned out, Wisconsin should have taken even more 3’s and fewer 2’s because they were 33% from each for the game…resulting in them making only 7 fg’s from 2 (and only 1 the entire second half).

I like Simpson a lot, but he really hasn't shown much since magical Purdue game. I agree though Oskar/Riebs kinda a toss up. Guess it's a matchup decision.
