For those wondering where Kev went...has anyone "bothered" to think maybe >>>>:alien: ?

Geeez, I keep trying to teach you people but you simply refuse to listen and learn...

BTW...I don't have a problem with Kev.

Kev69 is safe. He’s on vacation from Earth until October. CERN assures me of his return. An Uber from Zeta Reticuli has been arranged.
I forgot to add this...

Look it up people...they're :alien: out there...waiting to abduct you...

Figuratively speaking, he’s on a slightly different frequency. Not a physical plane, rather a vibrational one.
You know, there are those that think that "we" are nothing more than part of a computer simulation and the universe is just a computer chip. I think I saw that on "How the Universe Works". I just [laughing]! Seriously? Do these people not watch AA? :chairshot:

True Detective Season 1 is a masterpiece. That show was amazing. Very hard to watch it without some beer(s) and a cigarette too. Rust Cohle might be my favorite tv character ever.

Game of Thrones is also up there for me—specifically the middle few seasons.

I think Kev is a good guy. He has controversial opinions, but most of us do—he just puts them out there. I don’t quite understand his hatred for the NBA however.

What did you think of last Sunday’s episode? I have heard it was disappointing but I have never seen it. People comparing it to the last Jedi which makes me cringe because that’s low!

Remember Kev from many years back when he first started as a nondrinking, highly religious UK fan or so he claimed.

Then, over the next few years, came the new Kev. He and his buddies going to big away games, looking for "brews" and hanging with top dogs. Never bought it.

Hope he's ok.

I thought it was great. I can understand some of the frustrations but it was probably the most tense episode of television I’ve ever watched not knowing what was going to happen. The music/score was phenomenal too. Damn that is a low comparison lol!

He's off looking for the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything. Kev, I'll save you some time... the answer is 42. Stay calm and don't panic.

I think Band of Brothers was one of the best things I’ve ever watched; if anyone hasn’t seen that....

That’s one I’ve never watched. I’ve never been a war movie/show guy, but from everything I’ve heard that one is worth the exception.

I put The Wire and Sopranos 1/2 on my list. Not really sure who I put 3rd.

Mad Men is way up there. Justified for pure enjoyment (other than season 5). The Americans is really good. I liked Fargo a lot, but probably slightly less than the Americans.

I’m in the middle of Deadwood right now, and it belongs in the conversation. Need to see how GOT finishes up, but it has some of the greatest single episodes of all time.

I agree. I get the Last Jedi reference (no spoilers), but I think the episode fit the story the show has been trying to tell. I think the book zealots are mad about some things, but I never finished the books so I can’t complain.

What you would expect. Julius Caesar being betrayed by Marc Anthony. It’s not too bad it keeps your attention. Unfortunately there are no aliens in it lol

Rome is great, and a quick 2 season watch. Should have been longer but it was a budget buster. Set the stage for GOT level productions though.

Mainly because of the NK not being fleshed out as a character more and not being the biggest villain after so many years combined with who ended him. Kinda like Snoke in that regard.

Seen it . Liked it. Thanks you for the help tho. Any others?

Na, mostly been watching older stuff. True Detective season 3 was pretty good. Billions is decent and it’s in the middle of season 4. First season of Succession was good. It’s a little off-balance but it grows on you. The Deuce is 2 seasons in. Same creator as The Wire. Not up to that quality, but better than solid.

The Americans might have been my favorite thing I’ve watched in the last year. Maybe because it exceeded my expectations.

Makes me wonder if the prequel will dig into the NK story more. Of course Bran may also still have more to tell.

Agree with everything you said although I haven’t watched Deadwood yet (plan to)

Sopranos is indeed incredible. I highly highly suggest both True Detective Season 1 and The Night Of ( both HBO). Both are incredible. TD May be the best season of television in history.

Edit- Truce Detective is a stand alone series. Every season (8 episodes) is a different sorry/ cast etc.

I’ve watched all three seasons of TD. I enjoyed season 1, but I remember feeling slightly letdown with the conclusion. I might have figured it out too early. I probably should go back and watch it again. Season 2 was sort of meh. I just watched season 3 recently and liked it quite a bit.

I haven’t watched The Night Of. Will put it on the list. Thanks.
