Ok. So how would that work if he went to college?
He would start in September at 17.
Could he be a 1-and-done?
Is his HS class considered 2021 or 2022?
Normally when players reclassify backwards, they are going to their original HS class, right?

If he went to college he would probably arrive for the Summer B semester in a couple of months, like most freshmen, begin working out with the team and he would play in the 2021-22 season. I don't know his date of birth so I don't know how old he is. Since he is reclassifying his HS class will be 2021.

When I hear the term "reclassify back/down" it is usually in regards to a kid reclassifying to a lower grade. For example: reclassifying from the 2022 class to the 2023 class. Henderson
reclassified "up" from the 2022 (junior) class to the 2021 (senior) class. I didn't follow his recruitment closely but perhaps the 2021 class is his original class. Nowadays some parents voluntarily hold their kid back a grade if they think it will help his college recruitment. Especially if the kid is physically behind other kids his age.
Does a player normally leave HS early?
Players do not normally leave HS early, however, we are in a brand new world thanks to the G-League Ignite team and the Overtime league recruiting high school players. G-League Ignite has only focused on HS seniors so far, but Overtime is willing to sign kids as young as the sophomore class.
Overtime did just that with Matt and Ryan Bewley. The Bewley Twins are a couple of 2023 kids who signed a two year deal the Overtime Elite League (OTE I think it is called) this week. They are going to gross seven figures by the end of the two-year agreement.
