My family will be coming in around 4:30pm and have a 3 hour layover before we head to Birmingham. Any of you travelers know of a place in or close to the airport (cab ride) that I should eat at? Looking for seafood on a tight budget. Thanks for the help.</p>

at the airport. There are two places, one is more or less a bar and the other is a restaurant, I forgot there names but both are great. I usually go for the crab cake sandwich at the bar.

Find a Popeyes, Burger King, or something at the airport. Too much of a pain to leave the airport.

as far as getting out goes. If I were you, I'd hop on the Light Rail and head in the Baltimore that way. You can get out an Camden Yards which is near the Inner Harbor, which offers a number of options. If time allows, I'd trek a bit further to Fell's Point where the dining options will be better (Bertha's), though notnecessarilycheaper. Also, 3 hours may be cutting it pretty close for any trip from BWI to Baltimore.

Obrycki's Restaurant & Bar
The Greene Turtle
Phillip's Seafood
Ram's Head Tavern

All in the airport bc I wouldn't last 10 minutes outside the airport in the Big City!

Haha, well Baltimore isn't anything I would call a big city but I suppose it could be depending on what you're accustomed to. Phillip's is probably the most well known as far as crap cakes go, The Greene Turtle is a sort of sports bar-ish chain in MD, and Ram's Head is a brew pub chain in MD. Never heard of Obrycki's. They should all have crab, however. I'd try Ram's Head if you want a decent beer selection and Philip's if all you want is crab.

Obrycki's and Phillips. I usually get the crab cake sandwich at Obrycki's, it's about $11. Phillip's is good also.

...Given BWI's location, light rail might be your best option but three hours is cutting it very close. As far as restaurants are concerned, the only place I've eaten while in Baltimore was Camden Yards.

Leaving the airport when you have a 3 hr delay and kids in tow is BEGGING to miss your connection.

does downtown baltimore (not the inner harbor/fells point area) remind anyone of like greenwood ms? obviously the buildings are bigger, but i mean the storefronts? like none of them are chains outside of like dollar general, none are nice establishments, and all look like no ones changed anything in about 50 years. reminds me of going to see my grandmother. sorry if i offend any delta apologists.

and i also 2nd that you probably won't have time to get from BWI to anything downtown, eat, and still make it back in 3 hours. otherwise i'd recommend checking out chap's pit beef or di pasquale's for damn good cheap eats.
