My aunt and uncle live in a valley just outside of Boone, NC. On the way down the mountain to their house is an old house on a corner that has had the whole corner ripped out of it. The story is that Eustace was coming down the mountain in a log truck with sketchy brakes. They failed as he approached that turn, and he drove through/into that house.
