Chris Hagler at Performance Automotive is a solid human being and good mechanic. He’s right past William Wells if you are headed east.

I’ve never found mechanics to be particularly dishonest. But diagnosing a certain sound or vibration that may or may not be replicable has a guessing component.

I've used William Wells occasionally and MAY still some. I was using City Alignment (Shannon and Donny father and son) but Donny retired and Shannon went to work at Performance Automotive with Chris and I prefer using them to Wells. What turned me against Wells was about 6 months ago we took my wife's vehicle in for tires and oil change at 7:00 one morning. Before 9:00 they sent my wife an email saying they were finished with the tires and oil change but included a long list of over $1,400 worth of maintenance items they said needed to be done. Change brake fluid, change differential fluid, flush radiator, and on and on. They had barely had time to do the tires and oil change, don't be telling my wife you checked all those items and they needed to be done, especially when several had already been done. It just reeked to me of trying to talk a woman into a bunch of stuff she had no knowledge of whatsoever of

I don’t know William Wells and I don’t guess I’ve ever had any bad dealings with him personally, but I have heard of similar stuff from that shop. May just be an overly aggressive employee who gets some kind of bonus/commission based on additional services. The people I know who know William Wells personally seem to like the guy.
That’s how I am with Hagler. I just know for a fact that he is a good, honest dude and I like doing business with him when I can.

While I was in college William Wells got a rap for trying to pull a fast one on college kids by overcharging for oil changes and "required maintenance" that would be obscenely expensive. I used R&M Tire on 12, owner is a good guy never tried to upsell me or my wife on anything

Everytime I went to WW something new was wrong with my vehicle when I got it back. Started going to paddock but he started turning people away due to lack of employees so went to Cole's by Taco Bell abs they were great
