OT: Alien Earth

Anybody watching? 3 episodes out so far. It’s really freaking good.

Yeah, I’m just through 2, but I’m hooked.

I don’t know what it is about the Alien universe, but they can basically tell the dang near same story over and over again, and I’ll enjoy it every time

I’m holding out so I can properly binge. Using that time to watch all of the Alien movies. Alien 3 is not good and it’s crazy because it has a great cast and David Fincher directing. I’ve read that it was because the studio butchered the film and used their powers over a new director. Pretty sure they couldn’t do that to Fincher now.

Nope. If you have seen any of them you are good. It doesn’t try to build on those stories. If you have a basic understanding of how the xenomorph works you are good

The creative team around Aliens were pissed about Newt and Biehn dying especially Cameron and Biehn.
Newt’s family got a lot of hate from established actors families about getting the role in Aliens since she landed it from an open casting call and Cameron liked her. I think she is awesome as her only acting gig.
Weaver invited her to Aliens3 and they sat together at the premiere.

Biehn is the best actor nobody talks about! If you review his body of work you would think he should be on par with other big name actors.
