Amen, nice to see. I'm sure it was very

Disturbing and disappointing for many.

Jesus changed water into wine...obviously a message that he wants us to be happy. I can`t see him down on anyone for smoking a little weed.

Whether it was wine or grape juice is trivial because it takes away from the actual symbolism and meaning in the miracle.

When my son was at MSU, some of his professors thought he was a "yankee" from the way he talked. Of course, Huntsville/Madison is about 95% "yankee" so I guess the speech patterns transfer to the kids. Nobody here sounds southern except the really old natives, and there aren't many of those. And those from Arab ....

people from Tennesse, North Carolina, Virginia, and further North....

People in the Raleigh, NC area are probably about 90% Yankees. All of my neighbors are from NY, NJ, Wisconsin, etc. Nobody from the South. Think most of them came here for the good jobs in the Research Triangle area, and good schools. Plus, UNC, Duke, and NC State are all close by.

I would think that wine which has to be fermented over time would be the miracle .... squeezing juice from a grape is something anyone can do

I'd love to see him and True Detective go up against Cranston and Breaking Bad in the Emmys, but I imagine they'll be in the miniseries category. I feel pretty confident they'd take down "the best show ever".

A lot of my coast friends don't claim Mississippi. They say south of I-10 is a completely different state.

ive heard the same argument as well and think its the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. i wonder if Lot was drinking grape juice as well when he became wildly intoxicated enough to sleep with his own daughters. and lets just ignore the countless times the bible links wine with getting drunk.

most bogus stuff i have ever heard, an i know my bible. redefining what the bible intended to say based on ones own beliefs is not something you will find amongst the educated biblical scholars.

I lived in the area for a brief period.

Cary to be specific. I was told that it stands for Centralized Area of Relocated Yankees.

I will say it's a cool area to live in. NHL, NFL, several NASCAR tracks, and some of the best college basketball in the country all within a reasonable distance.

So,the Son of God touching water to make "wine" is the same as some redneck from Mississippi making wine?Sure ,I'll buy that for a dollar!

I'm a big Wrightsville Beach fan. Went for a week last summer, going to Figure 8 twice this year. At least my family has a house rented two different weeks, I hope I can go. From Greensboro, sister lived in Durham for school and again later. I'd live in Greensboro if I had a family. Also, Cook Out and Biscuitville.....

Sometimes it talks about wine wine, but when it specifically talks about them pulling the wine from the refrigerator, that was the grape juice wine.**

The Greek translation "oinos" is fermented wine. That is the term used through that passage and other parts of the New Testament in the Greek. So it's wine. But again, people get so caught up in the argument about alcohol that the true symbol of the miracle is lost.

Try south of...

Hwy 90 in Louisiana. It is really another world. My wife is from the coast, but it doesn't hold a candle to south Louisiana.
