The story of the kit kat reminded me of something that happened to me last week and I must share. ***** terrible.

Last year, right after Christmas, I purchased a pair of Carrera sunglasses from the glasses place in the Madison scrrript mall. Ive always been a gas station, aviator type of guy....buy them on the way to the **** show and never see them after Sunday....pair of glasses, type of guy. These were perfect. Huge lenses, stunter shades. Glass in the glasses are so clear, it's unimaginable to try and describe their awesomeness unless you own a pair. The only knock was that the arms would get lose, making them not fit my face, while I was swinging golf club...jog...anything where I have to move....they would slide off. Im not a crokky or rope around the neck type of guy....I wanted these sumbithces to fit snug. Most if not all glasses shops will tighten the screws no prob. Well, I need em tighten, as I was going on a trip over last weekend. I took em to an eye care center in Hattiesburg, not naming names. The nice lady behind the counter...kinda cute mind you...approached me as i entered the store. I immediately engaged and began buttering bread. She consols and actually is flirting back. We small talk for about 2 minutes as she is tightening down the arms. I noticed her sticking the arms underneath this heating lamp...and she began trying to bent the hot *** metal. "This is really strong metal" she says. I say yep, those are the real dealzzz bla bla...when SNAP....she immediately turned white as a ghost, looks at me and says " I just 17ed up"....she ran into the back room where she tried to revive it like it was having a heart attack. She came out with them in hand...both pieces...and a blank check. The plastic framing got too hot and she basically snapped the arm off where it meets the lens...not just arm, the framing too. She turns to the other little girl working in the shop and says "today is payday, right" other little girl says "yep"....and goes to hand me the blank check. I smiled as she began balling and shaking....I tore up the check in her face. She tried and buy me a pair in the store, I refused. She followed me out of the store and down the mall trying to pay me. I told her when I figure out the warranty policy, I will come visit her and follow up. Well, I got a call from Dale @ Carrera this morning telling me, "unfortunately, we do not cover that type of damage." I need help with this one. What should my next move be?
If I make her half it, am I a dick? Do I make her give me a store credit? Should I go buy her lunch and tell her my new ones are on the way? I was literally sick to my stomach all weekend.....as I know she was. Sorry so long.

Consider the glasses a loss and pursue her(She is in a vulnerbale state and feels she "owes" you) You my friend have hit the jackpot(If your not married, If you are married then it still might be a jackpot depending on how you roll)

Or you could just call and speak with the manager/owner, explain the situation, and get a check or new pair of glasses. When you run a business, sometimes you have to swallow a loss. She shouldn't have to, swallow that is.

Dude - I was almost there until the "Well, I got a call from Dale @ Carrera" part. Now my KitKat is all melted and all I want to do is go outside and check on my sunglasses.

I would go by there and play it up like, "I'm afraid you're going to have to make it up to me and buy me dinner." Don't let her buy you dinner. Let her suck your dick.

Update: Not that anyone cares but the store manager ended up sending them to a repair specialist. They came back brand new. The nice lady behind the counter was not as cute as I remembered and after reassessing, I decided I didnt want her mouth anywhere around my boys. To be frank, I wouldn't 17 her unless it was post Armageddon conditions.

Cool story. Surprised she offered to pay for the damage from her own paycheck. She's probably both gullible and incredibly kind. Probably more gullible since she didn't recognize that the frames weren't going to bend. Glad you got them fixed.
