Theo Pinson

Pinson is correct. You're up, Diehard!

For my bonus section, in hindsight I would have asked you to name all of the Duke's recruits in the last 4 years that have been offered by Roy. The list is rather long and impressive:

Jabari Parker
Matt Jones
Jahlil Okafor
Tyus Jones
Justise Winslow
Brandon Ingram
Chase Jeter
Luke Kennard
Harry Giles
Jayson Tatum
Marques Bolden
Javin DeLaurier

12 Duke guys got offers from UNC; 1 UNC guy got an offer from Duke. Fortunately for Heels fan, Roy is a better evaluator of talent.

I probably would've gotten it sooner but I misunderstood your question until I started seeing some of the answers from others then I remembered Coach K recruiting Pinson until he was notified that he committed some kind of minor violation then he backed off from recruiting Pinson after that.

Here's my question, it might be difficult to answer unless there are DI members that know a lot about collecting Baseball cards. This player's Baseball card is very valuable and rare, name the player and the year/type of his Baseball card? For a bonus but not required why is his card so valuable and rare? I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon so it might be mid afternoon before I will be able to check in.

You might be looking for Honus Wagner. His card came from a tobacco can and he was against smoking so he had the company stop making the card and very few of them were made thus making the value so high. I have no idea about the year so I will guess and say 1917. OFC

You're off on the year by a few years it was his 1911 T206 card but you got the player and the reason, which I can imagine most people wouldn't know that unless they know a lot about collecting Baseball cards. On a sidenote, when I was in my early to mid teens my dad almost had a chance to buy a shoe box full of old Baseball cards and that Honus Wagner card was in that shoe box along with a ton of other valuable cards for players like Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio. I figured it would be one of you OFC guys that would get it correct. You're up Sky.

If I'm remembering correctly, there was only something like 33 of that card made and only about 1/3rd of that are known to still be in existence.

Not that it matters because it doesn't, but I don't think we ever offered Pinson.

I remember it as Pinson being a lifelong Duke fan hoping for an offer but we prioritized Winslow.

I could very well be wrong with my failing memory, and again it doesn't matter anyway...

Rivals, 247, and ESPN all have his profile listing an offer from Duke. I think we would've taken both as there's a lot of flexibility for wings in K's system.

Wake Forest has had it's share of great players, Charlie Davis being one of them and I'm old enough to remember seeing him play. In 2002 he became the A.D. at one of the university's in North Carolina. Name that school. OFC

When Duke lost in the '89 semifinal to Danny and the miracles, Kansas jumped out to what proved to be an insurmountable lead right off the bat. If my memory serves me correct we did tie it or maybe even took a momentary one point lead late in the game. What was that Kansas score before we put up our first points?

Bonus: What is Coach K's longest NCAAT win streak?

Can you name the last two players from schools outside of North Carolina to receive 1st-Team AP All-Americans honors twice?

Brogdon was 2nd-team last year, while Hield was 3rd-team. Morrison only received All-American honors in 2006.

I'll give you a time-frame for the two guys. One guy did it this decade - and he actually did it on three separate occasions. The other guy accomplished the feat in the early 2000's.

After giving it some thought I think one of them is Doug McDermitt. He scored a lot of points his junior and senior years. As for the other guy I have no clue. OFC

Are you saying he played for N.D.
I'm gonna disqualify myself from this question because although I did get McDermitt correct I looked it up and a guy that played for a team from the state of Ohio made the A.P. All-American team in both 2011 and 2012. OFC

You are correct, sky. That was an oversight on my part. I forgot about Jared Sullinger. I'll give you credit for the question, though, since you did get McDermott. The guy from Notre Dame was Troy Murphy who had one season with Doherty and one season with Brey.

Twice in MLB there have been back to back inside the park home runs. The question is what two players did it last. Who did they play for. At what stadium did this happen and what year was it. Hint I have mentioned this before a couple of times and I was there. OFC
