Sounds like Troy was very fortunate!! Think he played for Burlington Williams, also home to former Duke WR Doug Green.

OFC

A little bit of info about Doug. His dad Lee Green played minor league baseball in Burlington. I watched him as a kid. Good fielding center fielder. Met his wife while playing in Burlington and settled in Burlington. Burlington Williams has sent several football players to play football at Duke. In addition to Slade and Green there is also Billy Bryan, Carey "Bubba" Metts who is Billy Bryan's nephew. Pete Moore and Tony Foster. OFC

Doug Green's 1985 performance at UNC (the 23-21 comeback thriller over Heels) was unforgettable...3 second half TD receptions from Steve Slayden, including two in a span of about a minute and a half.....

Elon College played their home football games at Williams for years......

Remember those great NAIA teams of the 70's and 80's. Two national championship. Saw many Elon games at Williams High including several national playoff games. Two good friends of mine played back then, Tommy Soon and Fred Long, 1971-75. OFC

I was there for those two championships, some really good players!

I still can't believe the great Bobby Hedrick is no longer with us.

This a total wild guess because I haven't watched baseball in so long that I can't even remember how long it's been but I'm going to guess Mike Piazza and 4

OK guys I must make a correction. There are 2 MLB catchers that have caught 4 no hitters. With that said I'm giving 2 hints. One did it in the National League and the other did it in the American League. One is still active and the other is retired but still living. Sorry about the mix up but 2 different sources gave 2 different info. OFC

With the new hints...I'm gonna guess that it was Pudge Rodiguez in the American League

Not Pudge. I'm working at the lake today and will not be around until about 7. Two more hints. Here are the career stats for both.

1. .256 B.A, 193 H.R and 757 R.B.I.
2 .268 B.A 68 H.R. and 396 RB.I.

Next hint. Fans in one of the cities one catcher plays in would say this. "Youse going to da game tonight." Fans in the other catcher's city would say this. "I'm driving my ca to the pak tonight. "

I was about to say Alex Avila because I knew Verlander had two and then the guy that should have been a perfect game but at the last second I realized that ended up being a one hitter.

Then it came to me, Roy Halladay had a couple and Cole Hamels one, so someone else probably had another so I'll say Carlos Ruiz.

If I'm right give it to dukedevilz.

Ruiz is correct. Since a three of you all got at least one correct which of you has not had the opportunity to ask a question or the least few. Let that poster ask the next one. OFC

Name all of the 2015-2016 Tarheels that received offers from K. Bonus: Name all of the Duke players from last season that received offers from Roy.

Sorry, not paying any attention. Coach K offered everyone of the 2015-16 tar heels because hof coach roy williams had offered them although he knew I had a better chance of becoming the next President of the United States. No Duke players from last season received any offers from hof coach roy williams because first none of them were unc material and second if hof coach roy williams had offered all of them would be tar heels right now because hof coach roy williams gets who he wants. Should I go ahead and ask the next question. OFC

I like the answers. But I'll give a hint to make this one easier since the question has been sitting a while. Exactly one player from UNC's 2016 team received an offer from Duke. Now, who was he?

None on UNCheat. I believe we flirted a little with Britt but never actually offered.

Ingram and Jeter on Duke.
