I’m wearing PGA2k25 out because I haven’t been able to find a decent game in what seems like years. I’m tired of all the Souls clones, and I was hoping that Robocop might be some nostalgic fun, but ugh. It’s awful

Anything good that I’m missing while we keep waiting for GTA6?

I really liked Ghost of Tsushima and am looking forward to Ghost of Yotei coming out this fall.

The MGS Snake Eater remake comes out in a few weeks, I’m really looking forward to that. The MGS games aren’t really my thing but the original Snake Eater was an outstanding Cold War stealth game.

I’m playing PGA2K25 on PS5 literally right now. About to start playing the battlefield 6 open beta in the next few days.

I only got a PS5 for CFB 25 but ended up getting older games since they were on sale. Loved GOW and am playing GOW Ragnorok now and it’s really good as well, but you’ve probably already played it.

I’d like to get cfb 26 if anybody on here wants to play. I heard the new NASCAR game is good too if you guys like racing games

CFB26 is just a shitshow gameplay wise. Not fun.

Currently working through platinuming Balatro. Also playing Baldur's Gate 3 on and off. Mods recommended.

Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 were fun. Wish that game would get fully completed (Creator says it will be 7 characters) but small indie studios can't rush perfection. (Undertale is a must if you haven't played the original. Just good clean comedy and great narrative RPG. - Go in blind until you've beaten the game.)

Been playing Oblivion remastered. Waiting on the new battlefield in October.
I had a good time with Oblivion since it was one of my favorite games from the Xbox360 era, but in spite of the fresh coat of paint, its age really showed. Good nostalgia though

Those GoW games are masterpieces, and I hope I heard this wrong, but I saw something just in the last week that said that they won’t be continuing that series. Damn shame if true

I play an MMORPG called Black Desert. Thanks to its RNG based enhancing system it is not p2w just pay for an advantage. It's fighting style is that of a fighting game like tekken or Mortal Combat but it is open world. They catch noobs up pretty quick. If anyone wants to play it, hit me up, I will power level you to lvl 59 or 60

The PGA2K series is awesome, and the things they do better than anyone are the user created courses and the ranked match system. It’s awesome being able to fire it up and play a Memphis municipal course that I used to play every week back when I was a teen.

Only thing I’ll say is that some of those dudes have way too much time on their hands. Shooting 50s at Pebble Beach on Master difficulty and whatnot…

You must be rich. I played BDO until I realized the costs of upgrading gear. The RNGeezus with that game is lame. About like Diablo Immortal.

Nah I only spend $ when there is a crazy good pearl box for sale. I havent bought anything recently. I just grind out all the enhancements. You can buy outfits for crons with in game currency. I also auto fish every night which nets 1-5 billion per day. I do the dungeons and guild bosses and maybe grind an hour every other day. They have a pity system for enhancements now so like if you fail 20 times the 21st is 100% to go with even no failstack

Eta: I also do 1 node war and 1 siege per week unless im taking the Mrs out for dinner sat night

Yeah, I don’t understand how those guys shoot so low on those courses. I am ranked Eagle 1 playing the daily tournaments on there. I am Par 1 in singles and doubles

It’s that way for everything. Watching people play Elden ring when you summon someone for help is insane.

I don't game very much, but I bought my kid Red Dead Redemption 2 a few years back for Christmas (2019?), and we played it together back then. I've replayed it twice since then all the way through, and it gets better every time.

If you haven't played it, you have to. It's more of a Great American Novel than a video game, but it's also the best hunting, fishing, robbing, horse-riding, kidnapping, bank-heisting, gang-beating, hero/villain, game out there with a strong moral undertone if you want it. If you don't want that, then you can be the worst person you want to be.

You can also just spend hours in the world without really playing the main game and have a blast.

It's also just incredibly rich with details that you can't possibly notice until you've gone through it at least twice.

Check out the reddit threads about it; but beware spoilers! Mah boi!

ETA- I've tried to play other games since this one, but none of them are nearly as compelling. This is the only game I've played since college and I'd start over again tonight if I had the free time.

Expedition 33 has been fun lately.
I’ve just about wrapped this one up, and you’re right that it’s pretty awesome. I don’t know how it slipped my mind, but definite game of the year potential

Anything good where you run as fast as you can to the right and jump over things? That's about my limit of game play. I hate those thumb joystick knobs. Just can't get the hang of them.

You can get a device for $50 or so and put any game you can think of up through PS1 or so and take it in your pocket and play all the 2D platformers or side scrolling shooters you want on a really good screen. Really cool stuff.

And that would be what exactly?

Tons of different options. In the budget I mentioned, check out the MiYoo Mini+. Amazon has them for $53.99 right now with prime shipping.
Anbernic makes several versions that are comparable in different layouts and a couple of different screen sizes- prices vary based on where you get them. You can save money going through AliExpress or the Anbernic website, but you're usually going to pay for shipping and it could take a lot longer.

AliExpress has the RGCubeXX right now for $61 with free shipping from the US, and I'm tempted. It has a little larger screen.

Sean getting his head canoed is one of the great all-time moments in a video game. Top notch stuff.

I've played high honor and low honor and 100%ed it both times I love it so much. I will admit things got very dusty when I finished the high honor game.

MLB The Show has been my go to for several years now. I'm terrible at ranked matches, but a buddy and I play online a couple of times a month.
