I still have a 3GS and was planning on waiting until the next iphone comes out. I can get it done locally for about $70, but trying to decide if I want to put that much money into it or just buy another one. It doesn't look difficult but curius if anybody has tried it.

Bought a replacement screen from Amazon for about $15 after watching a video on youtube. Took about 10 minutes. Easy.

I looked on there and most don't have very good reviews. Did you buy it with the mid frame or did you have to use a hair dryer to seperate the glass from the mid frame?

I think my brother a few months ago replaced his 3GS with another 3GS for $80 without signing another 2 year contract.

He's waiting on the iphone5.

If you're good with tools and small parts you'll be fine. Just watch a demo video and keep it on hand while doing the project.
