I am talking about the TV show and not our basketball team.

Best episode so far. May have to watch it again.

was Shane noticing that the security guard walkers had no bite marks. I'm thinking that almost everybody is infected and comes back no matter how they die. I haven't read any of it, so I don't know if that's part of the story or not.

... I have a feeling that's what Dr. Jenner told Rick before he blew himself up. Something to the extent of "Everyone's a carrier. It doesn't matter how you die."... and notice that when Shane asked about that he said "It must've been from a scratch"...but then he proceeds to cut his hand to make himself bleed... he knew it wasn't from a scratch.

I've never read the comics either, but one thing's for sure: Shane's getting offed in the near future.

Nothing happened last night. Sane was thinking the whole thing while riding the 18 miles. Remember at the end they showed Shane in the car and he had no blood or bruises on his face. Plus they were driving in the same direction at the end that they were at the beginning and he was looking at the same walker in the suit walking in the middle of the field. Just saying that whole episode was a illusion in Shane's head. Why the writers did that I don't know. Maybe just to add an additonal episode but it has nothing to do with the story line.

Spoiler Alert:

Don't read below if you don't want to know.

You guys are exactly right. I have read the books and everyone is already infected. Even those guys that Rick shot are likely up walking around now. I don't know if that is what Jenner told Rick because Jenner's character was only in the TV show.

that his wife was pregnant. That's was my theory then and I thought it was confirmed when it turned out, indeed, she is pregnant.

But I could be totally wrong.....

IN RESPONSE TO SPOILER..............

.....if that is true, about everyone being infected, what does that really mean? It's still survive or be a walker. I guess it still puts an emphasis on finding the cure, since just avoiding being bit/scratched is not going to save you.

Remember at the begining they were showing the Zombie fight and Shane in the Bus. I told my wife somebody must be dreaming or something because they did not show how they got to that point. then they show them riding in the car.

There has only been one guy to have been bitten and not die. They left him on the side of the road. If he turns up in a future episode not a Zombie we will know.

I guess the only real meaning of it is that if any of the group dies for any reason then they are going to come back and have to be put down again by a friend or family member. I thought for awhile last night that the girl was going to commit suicide and come back and kill someone.

As I've understood it, a bite will kill you (some kind of bad infection), but no "disease" is passed through a bite. They're all carriers already. Also, the theory that the CDC guy told this very thing to Rick before blowing himself to smithereens, to me is confirmed in that after shooting the two guys in the bar last week (body shots) Rick puts an additional round in each of their heads before he's done with them, thereby insuring no walker status for Philly's finest.

She was bitten, died and returned as a walker only to have her head blown off by Anderea.

Edited to add: I think I misunderstood what you were saying And if I do understand, I believe you are correct.

Excellentpoint about the two guys at the bar. I can't believe I overlooked this, but now that I think about it, it's obvious. Everyone is a carrier and Rick knows it.

I was pretty damn sure that both Shane and Rick both were cut up and beat up in the last scene.

I've been thinking on the whole "every one is a carrier" theory. If I understand it, everyone has the inactive virus in them. It activates once you die unless the brain is destroyed. I'm guessing that if you get bit by a walker that has the activated virus, then it activates it in your body and you turn within 10-30 minutes.

So basically, it's all the same. You just keep surviving and avoiding getting bit. When someone dies of something other than a bite, then you double tap and make sure they stay dead.

What I'm wondering, is how long a zombie can last. It seems that the tissue would rot off sooner or later rendering the body immobile. So, if you can just outlast the rot, then it's all over.

It did appear they were driving the same direction but I think it was more of an oversight than anything. Has anyone else noticed they ruined Darrell's character? He's just a complete dick to everyone, like 2 weeks ago when he was berating the lady about her dead daughter.

His character progressed as he was tracking Sophia. When that all went to hell, it hit him harder than most, now he's lashing out and regressing back to his old self.

His personality is being tugged in separate directions by Rick's current influence and Merl's lasting influence. If we see a return of Merl, watch the 17 out, Boondock will get really unpredictable.

He's my favorite character on the show, and he had some fantastic one liners last night. Loved when he called Lori "Olive Oil."

Speaking of Lori, the episode where she flipped the car was just awful writing. Two of the most capable members of the group went out to fetch someone that's also important. So she decided that for no reason, she wanted someone to go fetch them (pretty sure they knew to come back when their job was done), leave completely alone, while pregnant, and not tell anyone. Her character is awful.

Has recruited a solid cast, but they're always fighting, giving up, and making mistakes when they drink. Plenty of weapons, but doesn't use them. The kids are way too involved and we are tired of their boring antics. Got a barn full of problems that usually escape near the end of the season. Etc...

Only decent talent on the show.

About last night's episode, anyone else find it weird that there were
scenes at multiple locations, yet we only got to see a few characters? Only Rick, Shane, Lori, blondie, Hershel's Daughters, and the captive were shown at all.

Next episode looks like it's going to be pretty intense. Boondock is going go to go all Reservoir Dogs on Damian (Rescue Me).

I assumed If a walker came by and snacked on a dead guy, the dead guy would become a walker - and that could be why he did it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but after Rick shot the 2 guys in the bar didn't they wait for them to turn to Zombies to prove to Herschel what happens. You hear the sound of growling walkers for a second beforeRick finishes them. It was all audio so you had to listen and it couldnt be seen. That reinforces the position that everyone is infected or why would the 2 Rick shotturn to walkers. </p>
