I know that I have bashed the NBA on this board a few times, but ironically, I have been given box seats to the Grizz v. Pacers game next month. For those that have sit in the luxury boxes, what are your thoughts?

Very nice. Everytime I've been to one (10 or so times), I've had a good time. When there's a fridge full of beer and a BBQ nacho bar, it's hard not to enjoy yourself. And oh yea, you get to watch a NBA game.

enjoy the hell out of it. Been numerous times when I worked with a company in Memphis who did a ton of radio advertising with a certain station. Invited us up there 3-4 times a month. They have a menu selection that the owners of the box choose what is provided, so hopefully you'll get some good stuff. It usually depended on the night of the game and the opponent as to what was provided when we went. Anything from hot dogs to lobster. The booze will definitely be there. The babes were usually there as well. Look forward to it.....and let us know how it goes.

Wife and I were in a box for the Knicks game a few weeks ago.We both had a blast, and neither one of us gives a crap about the NBA. It was our first time at the Forum, and it's a great venue. We went up big in the second half and the place was LOUD. Can't wait to go back - even the wife was talking about buying season tickets next year.

Granger is really, really, really good. So, it will cool to see him play. Plus they have some ex-college stars like Hibbert and Hansbrough.

The Griz have sort of captured a raucous collegiate atmosphere at times. I'm guessing it's as Tiger fans have begun to finally get behind the Griz as well. The city loves them now, especially individual players like Gasol, Zbo, Gay, and Allen. They by far have one of the best crowds judging from TV watching experience. The Forum is also atop notch venue. Enjoy the atmosphere, and get into the game. We Love It!

If you have a chance to get either of those seats, it doesn't matter whether you like the Grizzlies or even the game of basketball for that matter. You'll have a blast.

With the box, there should be be plenty of booze, food, and serious heat walking around so you'll have a good time just hanging out. With the floor seats or anything close to the floor, it just gives you a whole different perspective of the game. Kind of like going from a 19" color tv to a full theater room with surround sound except that doesn't even do it justice. It's hard to explain, but it's an experience well worth having if you ever get the chance.

I've sat in the Pepsi Suite numerous times. It really depends on who is over the box as to how much food and such you will get, but even if they just have nachos and such it'll still be a great time. <div>
</div><div>I'm usually a "like to be a part of the crowd" guy, so I don't like suites for football and baseball, but the Grizzlies have it right. You can basically sit in the crowd at a seat, or you can get up and sit on a couch and watch TV etc etc...</div>

I'd say I had a pretty good time, but I don't remember. I got really hammered and my vision was too blurred to really tell what was going on down on the floor. Suite was nice though.

Was invited to a box for my wifes office who was being hosted by another company. They had I believe one of the boxes you can use for a night. My wife and I both like basketball and we were sitting in the suite watching the game. One of the hosts asked if we would like to go to two seats on the floor. We were in the second row at mid court. The seat in front of me was empty until Michael Heisley showed up and sat down. It was a game against the Spurs.

"Mike" even talked to me a few times when I made some comments about plays or calls. It was a great evening.

Surprised this has not been mentioned but it depends a lot on whether it is a lower level or higher level suite. The lower level suites are on about the equivalent of the 17th row. All the advantages of the suite but close to the action. The higher level suites are your typical "sky boxes". Great atmosphere but watching the game is like watching on TV. I am a partner with some guys in a lower level suite and love it. Everything is expensive at the Forum but sharing the season like we do, the per seat charge is very similar to decent arena seats. PM me if anyone wants to discuss being in our group for next year.
