OT Anyone seeing any rut\ Pre-rut activity? Any luck rattling?

Just wondering if anyone has been seeing any action. Any chasing, or any luck with rattling lately.

A few weeks ago I was still seeing bachelor groups. Went last weekend and was surrounded by scrapes and rubs but still haven't seen much. Had one young buck come sprinting at me while using a grunt. I haven't ever tried rattling before, thinking I'm going to add that in this year

We have been in the rut here for two weeks. Probably starting to wind down. Had bucks chasing and grunting all around me last weekend.

My old man has been seeing young bucks fighting and chasing activity for about a week now in Warren county. I should be heading to the burg right on time. It's no eastern Warren but it will be fun.

We are on the Big Black south of Bovina... Rattled up small eight and nice six around 8am. Saw two other young bucks with nose to the ground on walk back to atv... Have pics of several nice ones ones I waiting on, next week or so should be right on time...

And have seen a bunch of smaller 4-8 points, none really chasing. Mainly basket racks. Saw a nice 8 shooter with a smaller 6/7 point with 3 does in road riding back to truck. Bucks were in edge of trees and couldn't see em until they all ran. Have seen areas wher they are fighting and a lot of scrapes and rubs. Still not a lot of deer activity for this time of season. And not even getting any pics on cameras where we've been seeing them all year. Don't know what happened. Strange.

Anybody else hunting in these parts? About to head back out.

I've saw no rutting activity. Surrounded by buck sign but saw several does and small bucks the past week. The bucks seemed only interested in eating and nothing trailed the does. I've rattled a fair amount trying to draw in a mature buck staying on neighboring property but to no avail.

And from the increase in pre rut signs from weekend of Dec 3, it looks like the best week will be from Christmas until the weekend when we are all in Nashville.

Damn it. Why can't we win all of our games and play on jan 9 so I don't miss the best weekend of the year?** never had that problem when Crooms was the coach.
