Ive been trying to tell everyone about this one for years...even on here in the various TV shows to watch posts, haha.
People always ask me about which of the shows our office puts out are my favorite that they should watch and other than Game of Thrones I would always tell them to watch Banshee. It gets really addictive as you go on...even aside from the nudity. We had a panel for them a couple seasons ago at NYCC and it was really cool to see how diehard the fans were (known as Fanshees).

The one girl on that show, Ryann Shane, is from our town. My wife knows her and the mom pretty well. They stopped the show because they didn't want to jump the shark with it. Great from beginning to end...

you and me both......... posted on several "best shows on tv" threads for last several years.

trying to explain the show to someone is kinda funny.....

Season 1 was amazing. still one of my favorite shows of all time. If you ever hear an interview with Tony Star, he has a very thick Australian accent- which you'd never know from the show.

S1:6 (Wicks) and S3:3 (A Fixer of Sorts) still my favorites...

For those that make it to seasons 3/4 Kurt Bunker is played by Jersey's own - Tom Pelphrey -- Rutgers graduate...

Loved banshee, hot Amish chick and the cop girl that lived in the camper. The guy threat wore some of the episodes and also directed a few did all directing on QUARRY, on demand on Cinemax or stars, another winner if you like Banshee

Wow wow wow! Last 15-min of Episode 10!! I mean a couple things I kind of figured were coming but damn that was good!

yeah.. liked that show... woulda been better with less sex.. but that's skinemax.. they know their customer base

If you want to fap to sex scenes, watch porn or get it on with your SO/fu*k buddy/prostitute etc. If the sex doesn't progress the plot then there is no need for it in a movie or tv show. It just gets annoying. This was especially true for shows like Banshee or Spartacus. JMHO.

Sure, okay, whatever. It's a part of life. Period. It also fits very, very well with the narrative, IMHO.

Banshee was specifically written to include the sex and violence. It's meant to be a guilty pleasure for adults. If you don't want it watch network TV.
