OT.. Best Stores to find craft beer in MS...

My wife is on the coast working and wanted to know where she should look for the elusive Timber Beast...

Jackson Area - Hops and Habana's and Mcdades tend to be the best so far on selection.

Hattiesburg _ the Corner Market

I've found the Kroger finally has Abita Jacamo and "Hoplanta" by Red Brick.

Thats all I have to add. I figured it wouldn't happen overnight, but these places need to beef things up a bit.

LA based so they usually carry Abita, LA31, Lazy Magnolia. There's one in Ocean Springs on Hwy 90, Gulfport on Pass rd/Cowan rd corner and Diamondhead. Not sure of any other locations.

Just across the railroad tracks off main st. Grab a bite to eat at Darwells while your there.

Bay Tobacco and Beer in Waveland has it. I picked some up the other day. They have a pretty good selection.

Both carry LA31 Grenade, which is probably my favorite beer, and not easy to find. The other LA31's i think are just ok.

The Rouse'sin Diamondhead has a really good selection, though i haven't been over there since the new law went into effect. But i found a sixer of Leinenkugel Berry Weiss, and i've been looking for that for over a year.

Polk's has the Rouge heavies, and some others (Jackamo). They have Yazoo Hop Project i know, and several other harder-to-find brews.

Though i used to live by the Rouses at Pass and Cowen, and they had the annoying habit of locking the walk-in beer cooler.

Wow. I remember Mr Polk in his original store in Brandon. Then a couple more popped up eventually. Guess he's all over now.

Same owner and connected with Mosaics tapas and hookah bar. Has a burrito restaurant in between the 2 bars.
