I saw that and it makes sense. I believe he may have voted for LC and Craig -only leaving him with one more vote and a choice between Kraft and Belichick.
Knowing it was Bill's first year and not his last- it makes all the sense in the world.
If you are that old and still haven't gotten voted in maybe you don't deserve it? Its supposed to be an elite club

He has won 8 Super Bowls, GS hasn't won a conference championship. GS record is 99-108, take out Ray Rice 3 years and it is 73-96. Enough said.

Talk about manipulating numbers. Why don't you take out all his winning seasons? If instead I take out the two years he played with mostly Shea's recruits and the two years he played with mostly Ash's, he's 88-74 instead. You can manipulate numbers to support any given narrative
Beat me to it. Some people love to throw out the total won/loss records but wont take the leanest years when Greg inherited teams that might have difficulty beating the best NJ high school teams. To then go ahead and try to subtract the Rice years is a new wrinkle which takes it to another level of moving the goalposts.

Voting for oldtimers instead of Belichick in his first time eligible sounds nice , but if only 3 can get in every year it might not be a fair way to treat him and voting for the best candidates for entry might be the best way to handle the vote , leaving sentiment out of the equation .
I say that because in 2027 theses players will be first time qualifiers ( from a google search):
>For the 2027 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, major first-year eligible candidates include
former quarterback Tom Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Adrian Peterson, and quarterback Cam Newton. Coach Bill Belichick will also be under consideration again
Eli Manning (QB): Will likely remain on the ballot after not being voted in for the 2026 class
Every year great ones will be added, making it harder and harder for some to be voted in
A minimum of three and a maximum of five modern-era players can be elected each year.
Up to three candidates from a combined group of seniors (players whose careers ended at least 25 years ago), a coach, and a contributor can be inducted annually.<

Bill should have been a first ballot entrant in my opinion, even tough all those that made it instead of him were deserving in their own right, just not as deserving as Belichick

Eli also deserves to get in. Beyond all his other stats and accomplishments, he is 2-0 in the superbowl, with 2 MVPs against the greatest QB of all time, how many people can say that?

Eli might just wind up like Jim Marshall, deserving but overlooked
(A valued member of Minnesota's "Purple People Eaters" defensive line, Marshall holds numerous NFL records, including the most seasons played by a defensive player (20, along with Junior Seau and Darrell Green), most consecutive games by a defensive player (282), most consecutive starts by a defensive player (270), and most career fumble recoveries (30). Marshall, who was still a starter at age 42, helped the Vikings win three NFC titles along with the NFL championship in 1969. )

forget Rice years- if you take out the 5 years my son was on the team- Greg's record would really suck. lol

Didn't he run *** backwards for a safety one time?

NFL Films made the gaffe by Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall famous. A prominent player on the Vikings’ “Purple People Eaters,” Marshall played 20 seasons in the NFL and is regarded as one of the finer defensive linemen of his era.
However, it was an infamous play from a game against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 25, 1964 that brought him arguably his biggest fame. He alertly snagged a loose ball that was fumbled by San Francisco’s Billy Kilmer.
Marshall ran unencumbered to the end zone. Unfortunately, he had become disoriented and ran to the wrong end zone. So, rather than six points for the Vikings, he scored a safety for the 49ers.
"My first inkling that something was wrong was when a 49er player gave me a hug in the end zone," stated Marshall after the game.

You can say whatever about Bill Belichick. But you say that neither Bill Parcells nor the Patriots have won a Super Bowl without Bill Belichick.

New England never won a Super Bowl without Belichick., but he never won one without Brady
Lost Super Bowl XXXVI with Drew Bledsoe as his QB
Parcells got 2 one with Phil Simms and one with Jeff Hostetler as QB, both Super Bowls Belichick was the DC

When it’s their only way to make millions and become famous? Sadly there are many young volunteers.
not sad for grandpas.

Brady may not be a grandpa but he's doing ok because he's rich

You act as if this is a new concept. Yet you just described most marriages.
Nah. It's just how a hooker who hung around the same crowd as I did back in my Rutgers days described her situation compared to some women like Bill's granddaughter. Personally, I don't give a crap. But I do know what those who do it for money are though.

Madonna has always been a rancid cooter…she’s really turned that to a new level as an old has-been hag…quite impressive. She’s the definition of what happens when you over stay and over value your relevance. She could have retired on top and instead turned into a sad joke

"most marriages" ? That has not been my experience.
If that were the case there are a lot of non-rich guys that I know who would never have found a bride.
