Top of 7th inning, score tied at 2-2, Texas has man on 3rd. Catcher, from squatting position returns ball to pitcher, but it hits bat of batter (who was in box) and rolls up 3B line. Runner on 3rd scores. After much back and forth, they award the run to Texas.
Bottom of 7th, Texas commits 3 consecutive errors loading bases. 4th batter hits to first base, who forces runner from 3rd at home. But runner takes out catcher cleanly to avoid double play.
5th batter loops a fly ball over 2nd baseman's head, scoring run. I don't follow baseball but I would wonder if they still have infield fly rule.
6th batter Bautista hits 3 run home run. BJs 6, Rangers 3

Didn't see the play but infield fly is s judgement call and ball must be considered catchable with normal effort. Also no infield fly if 2 outs.

Oops, didn't note how many outs there were when it happened.

Interesting that 2 former Phillies were involved in 2 key plays in playoffs--Utley and today Cole Hamels was the pitcher that gave up the runs for Texas. Not sure if they were earned

Not earned. Rangers made 3 straight errors on routine plays. And I agree with the comment regarding the amount of trash, beer bottles, etc thrown on the field. If it happened in Philadelphia people would be talking about it for 50 years.

The play in the top half inning is the strangest call in baseball I have ever scene...and was called wrong, overturned which was also wrong. Home plate ump incorrectly called the ball dead before runner crossed home plate. Than they overturned the play incorrectly as it was a dead ball. Than it got ugly. I love Toronto a lot! But the fans in thar stadium were embarrassing

Actually, the not quite "Texas Leaguer" over the 2nd baseman's head should have been easily caught. He backed up on the ball when he should have turned and sprinted back -- would have had it easily. Just to add to the comedy, the runner leading off first turned and ran back to first without even attempting to watch the ball; was therefore forced at second whereas he very well may have beaten the throw.

Playoff baseball is the best. The immediacy and urgency trumps FB, BB and soccer. Now, regular season....

I think ultimately the umps got the call right - he obviously would have scored. There are a fair number of rules in baseball where umpires are supposed to do what they think would have happened but for an intervening event. While this rule isn't one of them, the principle makes sense. I'm pretty sure the Toronto protest would have been denied if the Jays had lost the game.

The problem is once the home plate calls it dead the Blue Jays stop playing. Doubt they would have got him but as soon as he puts he hands up it's a dead ball.

The guy was about 3 strides from home plate when the ump blew it dead.

All runs were unearned for the team, but the reliever who gave up the Bautista HR got an ER for that. Errors behind one pitcher don't carry over to the next one. Dyson's ERA went up, while teams went down

What did everyone think of the bat toss by Bautista? I'd never seen one quite like that. I didn't see it live but when I read online that the benches cleared twice during the game I thought him doing that might have been payback for being plunked earlier in the game or something, which of course was not the case.

I didn't think the bat thing was so bad. Dyson (and other pitchers) should stop being such babies. The guy is celebrating an essentially game winning, series winning home run! That stuff is nothing like what they do in football.

I don't think the celebrations are so much showing up the other team as it is calling attention to himself and what a great thing it was. If you don't want to see the celebration, don't give up the home run.
