Hey all,

My crew and I do a new college football stadium every year. I've posted it in here before. We have done Ole Miss, tOSU, Washington and Texas.

This year we are heading to Boise St.

Wondering if anyone here has been to Boise and has recommendations for guy in their late 20s/early 30s.

No specific recommendations as I was there maybe 10+ years ago, but I really liked it. In fairness, I had no expectations about the city and was there for one night before flying home after a trip to Sun Valley.

Nice, reasonably compact downtown, with good food and bars. It surprised me to the upside and I suspect you'll have a good time.

Campus/Stadium is walking distance to downtown, so I'd stay downtown.

Agree with jmc (above). I was also in Moscow (home to the University of Idaho) and also explored the great outdoors, of which there is an ample amount. My friend and I went hiking in Hell's Canyon, only about 2 hours away.

Boise (as a city) is really coming into its own, as of late. The real estate market is booming and the city is growing quite a bit. Also, its proximity to great spots like Sun Valley make it an ideal launching-off point if you want to explore everything (else) there is to see in Idaho.

Maybe this link might help
Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau
https://www.boise.org/

see you posted this on the Boise board , so won't post a link to it.
Also the link I did post was from that board, so you might have see that info already.,
But if missed it there, might be worth looking at.

Yeah.. been a long time for me as well. Steaks and Beer were good iirc. ANd some kind of weird breaded steak strips.. Location-wise, Its basically at the eastern edge of a fairly large dry region before the Idaho Rocky mountains really begin. Weather was dry.. they don't get much rain. IIRC there was a ski resort fairly close by but it probably doesn't open until Thanksgiving or later. The famous Sun Valley is 150 miles east.

I was visiting a large corp HQ outside of town and there was a large sugar beet processing plant somewhere upwind.. and it was not particularly pleasant.. not awful.. just unnatural.

Went to RU/Arkansas game a number of years ago. It was great that we won, but we had a great time otherwise. Great food, the museum created by the Waltons, Eureka Spring. Great trip.
