Thoughts? Nothing really happened...just a lot of set up for the last 6 episodes. It's going to be a fun month and a half.
Just from the reaction from the neighbor in this seasons first episode something bad has to happen somewhere between now and then. I don't think she'd react the way she did or the house be in the condition it's in if all that came out was him being Heisenberg. Although blowing up a nursing home may would get that reaction.
skylar annoyed me too, but leading up to the final 8 episodes i rewatched the whole series, and really, she's pretty justified in being a ***** pretty much all the time. going back to seasons 1 and 2 before she became an accomplice, how would your wife react if you were disappearing for hours on end, had a secret 2nd cellphone, hung around with a kids half your age who is a known drug dealer, lied about the money paying for your treatment, etc.?
yeah she's controlling and is really annoying about the details of things, like when she was making walt rehearse before going to hank and marie's to tell them the gambling story and ****. but really she's mostly just guilty of not letting walt do anything and everything.
Didn't they show Walt getting Chemo on last weeks episode?
Yes...there was a scene with him getting chemo treatment...
but everything else TX said makes sense...I think he uses the M60 to take out Todd's crew then lights up the ricin cigarette.....
and the screen goes black
Only 2 years has passed from the beginning of the show to the scene in Denny's with the New Hampshire license. This is shown in the birthday bacon. He turned 50 in the first episode and the bacon was laid out in a 52 in the opening scene of the final season.
the house look like it had been shut down for a LONG time. Is it possible he got away somehow (survived cancer...again) and has come back to New Mexico to put an end to something? Not sure what the something is though.
Todd, but maybe he misses and goes down in a fire fight with the family. Therefore, Walt takes measures into his own hands. As much as Jesse has been annoying in the last two episodes, he's always been there for Walter and will probably take a bullet in the process to save him again. I could see it happening at their house with Skyler, Walt Jr., the baby, and Todd all going down while Walt is trying to get there from his Chemo session. Lydia wasn't there so Walt has to take her out.
Go watch True Romance by Tarentino and check out the end where everyone goes down in a serious gun battle, except the main character.
True Romance is one of my all time favorite movies... fun fact: it was Tarantino's first screen play, and was originally written out of chronological order like Pulp Fiction, but the people he sold the script to made him rewrite it chronologically before they would buy it. If you haven't seen this movie you're missing out! Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt, Bronson Pincho, Gary Oldman... and many more you'll recognize.
The scene with Hopper and Walken when they talk about Sicilians... wow.
It's definitely only been a year, if not less... I'm at work now so I can't find all the details but if I recall correctly Walt opens his trunk when he's at his house and has the AK47 (or whatever gun it is, don't judge me) in the trunk, which he bought on his 52nd birthday.
My guess is that Hank and Marie are going to force Skylar and Walt to give up the kids, and maybe Skylar rolls on Walt and goes with the kids, but regardless when Walt is left in his home alone I think he ends up turning it into a meth lab, which is why it's blocked off and all jacked up when he goes to get the ricin.
I think the cancer line is a sympathy play to Hank - it's not really back. There's no way he'd have the hair and beard in NH if the cancer were back. I think he uses the Ricin cigarette on himself after he takes down a ton of people with the machine gun.
As for the neighbor, the only logical explanation for her reaction is that she never thought she'd see him again (she thinks he's dead, in jail, out of the country, etc...)
