Anybody on here have a negative opinion on the chevy 6 speed transmissions and the way they drive/handle? I've had a 2013 z71 for about a year now, and I just don't like how it drives. It has a lagging/chugging feel to it, and it will be in 5th gear at 35 miles per hour. If I drive in manual shift mode, it drives the way I think it should b/c I control when it shifts. I've taken it to the dealership multiple times and they just nod and act like they know what I'm talking about, but say I just have to get used to how the 6 speeds drive versus the 4 speeds. I can't get used to it though. My wife has a 2007 Suburban and I like how it drives much better. I was just wandering if anyone else on here has the same feelings I do and have you done anything to fix it?
To add to it, the dealership also said they have had alot of people complain about poor gas mileage in the 2013 4x4 z71. I thought the purpose of the 6 speed was to improve fuel economy in the truck, but I consistently get 13-17, nothing more. If I pull my trailer with my Polaris Ranger, I get 9-10mpg. This was not at all what I expected when i bought it, esp. when they push better fuel economy on the new models.
