Add 9 rushing TDs to that.

We have 13 of each.

We've scored more than 2x as many TDs as Clemson so far this season.

I'm not saying I don't like seeing it, but it is truly amazing how far Clemson has fallen off over the last two seasons.

There has to be more to it than Dabo's portal practices. If they had gone from 10-11 win seasons to 9-10 win seasons, I'd accept that the portal thing may have been the cause. They have crashed and burned over two seasons. Their NIL spending isn't basement level, they are spending enough that they should be better than they are.

I think it has to do with their coaching staff. Dabo struck gold with Venables and Elliott. When they left, things started going downhill. I don't think Dabo made very good hires for the next 5 years and his hiring of "yes" men and former players left them with a weak staff.

QB talent has also been a problem for them. Having Watson and Lawrence and receiving corps that caught anything thrown near them covered up a lot of sins. When Lawrence left, I don't think anyone foresaw the dropoff. DJ Ukelele(?) was supposed to be very good and he turned out to be a disaster. Klubnick was supposed to be the next great thing, a 5 star from Texas who was going to step into Sunshine Lawrence's shoes and keep the train rolling. He turned out to be good, but not great. Now, they are sitting there basically without a legitimate P4 QB.

I still think NIL destroyed Clemson football. Once every team could pay players, Clemson had very little to offer elite recruits that other programs didn't have.

The return of Morris has been an absolute disaster for them.

When he hired Matt Luke as OL coach, that sort of raised my eyebrows. Luke left UGA because he said he was burned out and wanted to be with his family and get away from the intensity of college football. When he took the OL coach job at Clemson, I wondered if Dabo runs a more laid back, relaxed program and Luke knew he could put in less time and still get a nice paycheck. I have noticed their OL has been on a pretty steady downward slope since Luke arrived.

It'll be interesting to see if they can get it going. The are currently tied for last in all of FBS with Central Michigan with 2 passing TDs.
