So I've been hearing about this supplement and picked up a small bottle. Did some reading but not sure what to make of it. Does anyone have any experience with this? benefits/side effects, etc? Would be great to hear what some of you think about it. Thanks!

Well it had the side effect of 3 hour and 59 minute erections. So I didnt have to see a doctor or anything.

No need to take CoQ10 if already taking Fish Oil capsules as both work fairly similar against elevated cholesterol. CoQ10 will NOT help an erection!

Had Physical recently and I asked my doctor about it and he said that studies showed that it doesn't lower your cholesterol as well as the other cholesterol medication that is prescribed for you....

He may have had his reasoning why he said that like getting a better kick back from the drug companies if he does but I don't know the answer to that one.

I will say this for the ladies on the board (in keeping with a common theme for these kinds of comments from us fellas), provide a link or photo as proof - or you're just lying!

I meant this as a serious thread to hear of others who had taken it and what they thought of it. I know some of you are just having fun, but please don't be posting pics in here of inappropriate things. Thanks in advance.

I take CoQ10 every morning. My blood pressure used to be a little high and it has helped bring it down.

Ditto. I take it in conjunction with Cholesterol Meds and it seems to help quite a bit. Never heard of any negatives attached to it.

I'm not sure you take it just to take it....I'm guessing you have a reason...

I don't think it is a sub for Statins. It is to be used in conjunction with. I also take Red Rice Yeast pills for the same purpose. Has the same main ingredient as Statins. The Statin I was on was causing me joint aches so I told Doc I was either stopping that one or cutting it in half. We cut it in half and added the other stuff and I'm good.

Apparently I wasnt obvious or funny enough. Thought the 1 minute shy of 4 hours that all the commercials tell you to see a doctor was a good enough clue to it being a joke.

Now back to Nikki getting real advice. ;)

Hear you go; with exercise and lots of fluids. Red rice yeast sounds like a find ( LETS GOOGLE ) : bothered the GF at first, but she was needed foray other issues and of course unsolicited advice.

I figure that i will hear some push back from many people on here about this. However, i frequently see and hear commercials about this pill or that pill to decrease cholesterol or diminish A1C levels, or to decrease high blood pressure. frequently these commercials have video of an obese person walking with or bike riding with their grand kids or something similar.

I have a news flash. Food and exercise is medicine. How about MD's prescribing regular comprehensive types of exercise and disciplined nutritional modifications. it may just lead to significant fat loss and all of the physiological benefits of reduced resting HR, reduced BP, reduced A1C, improved HDL-LDL ratio's, reduced joint pain, improved mood, reduced depression. I'm not indicting anyone on this thread of taking short cuts and and not following my advice--(i don't know any of you so how would i know) but in my line of work i see this **** all of the time.

Co-Q-10 is an umbrella - under which is Ubiquinone, Ubiquinol, Ubidecarenone. Use the active form - ubiquinol (Qunol) - available at Costco, Sam's, and Walmart (online) ~$30/#120

Possible benefits - may help reduce muscle complaints from statins (statins lower serum Co-Q-10 levels), recovery from running and physical exertion, some data suggest lowering blood glucose and improving heart failure. I have not seen good data re lowering cholesterol or blood pressure.

Overall, appears to be rather safe - at least if using a reliable product.

Many on here if not all; know you are spot on with this - and may, like me anyway, assume most take this as common sense choice number one - Its stunning how many can't handle or understand the joy of being a little sore and healing to increased health and well being. America is nuts too pills; with record addictions - the most powerful pharmacies in the world exist in our own bodies....

There are recent news reports that taking lots of vitamins too help combat cancer; is increasing the size and spread of tumors - read that again = its research; higher metabolism cancers may be welcoming the support packages of your hard earned money spent on the formulas.
