1. I just moved a couple of months ago and had my directv moved with me. However, when I tried to get ATT internet moved to the new house I was told it was a no go because ATT was too full in that area. Whatever that means. Anyway, I had to go with Comcast on the internet and now I can't bundle my tv with internet. Is my only option to wait out my Directv contract and then switch to comcast cable to bundle it with the comcast internet?

2. Noticed on my internet bill that Comcast was charging me like $7 month rent on the modem. I still have the ATT modem. Can I just hook it up and run the comcast internet through it and save that $7 month?

#1. Yes, that is your only option. Cable companies will not bundle with satellite. You might be able to wait and see if AT&T will be able to run DSL out to you soon, but until then, you're stuck paying full price for the internet.<div>
</div><div>#2. DSL and Cable use different standards. I would just buy a cable modem (make sure it meets the specs of the ones you're renting, such as having an ethernet port and that it meets the right DOCSIS standard) and quit renting. You'll have to call up the cable company and make sure they know the information on the new equipment you're installing, but this is not all that hard to do.</div>

you'll have to call Comcast and give them some numbers but it's really easy.

Thanks for the replies. Do ya'll know anything about ATT being full??? Something about too many people in the area already having ATT internet. I really like Directv and would prefer to go with the Directv/ATT bundle if I could figure out how to get ATT to get me internet service

It could be a bandwidth problem in that adding another user will lower everyone's average bandwidth. That seems unlikely to me since it is rare that all the users need high bandwidth at the same time. More likely is that at the central office for your are all the equipment racks that can handle DSL cards are full and each card has the maximum number of DSL connections it can handle. They would have to add equipment to their CO (and probably run more lines to their CO).
