A little tidbit on the author:

Rancourt states the administration's actions in general, and his dismissal in particular, are influenced in part by the Israel lobby and the military-industrial complex.[31][32][33] He has stated that his dismissal may be related to his political views, specifically his position on the Israel-Palestine conflict,[34] and wrote in his blog that university of Ottawa president (and former Minister of Justice) Allan Rock appears to be "a point-man of the Israel lobby at the University of Ottawa."[35]

lol.

This is clearly a reputable scientific journal with completely reliable information and interpretation of scientific data. Science of the Times? Right there with The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine.

They are only a psychological benefit for the sheep that still freak out over a virus that has 99.6% survival rate even using the GROSSLY overinflated death tolls from Covid. If death totals were accurate it would likely be .004 % mortality. The "science was manipulated by the "defeat Trump" faction in government and society became sheep

If 180,000 Americans have died and the infection death rate were 0.004%, that would mean that there were 4.5 billion Americans that have been infected.

The death toll is also likely an undercount. The excess deaths for the year are well over 200,000 from expected.

Cue the:

"But my high school classmate Jethro's uncle Jimbob drove off the road trying to avoid a coon, had a heart attack in mid-air, and his death was counted as covid."

discussion.

Not sure how many have died from it or not, but I will say quoting anything in the NYT isn't exactly doing anything to lend weight to your argument. They aren't exactly ethical and unbiased.

If everybody wears a mask then the virus it's not spreading. Also wearing mask is not a cure for the virus. Wash your hands cover your mouth is still the best policy. IMO
Best policy is to not breath and keep your eyes closed.

There was a letter from the CDC early on that said the types of masks they now recommend people to wear are actually worse for your health as they cause mold growth in the mask in a short amount of time due to your spittle and moisture accumulating on the inside. Masks are actually making us all sicker.

Their opinion page leans left, but in regards to fact reporting, they are top notch.

It's been an interesting evolution.......stated here without comment.
1. When this whole thing started, we were told they didn't do squat.
2. After a few weeks, we were told they were only good for keeping you from giving it to others.
3. Now, we are told they prevent you from giving it to others and also prevent you from getting COVID.
Can anyone direct me (and others) to well conducted research on this topic? I have not seen any real references to definitive studies. Has anyone?

I have looked and found nothing. I do think people have a right to be skeptical given the fact that there was a lot of conflicting information on the use of masks early on and the "absolutely definitive" idea that they should be mandatory now.

The article linked has multiple studies that are linked. Might want to open it up
