Okay, weird topic, I know, but someone on another board posted this wikipedia page of Aggie traditions: Traditions
One of the traditions is saying "Howdy" to everyone you pass while walking around campus. I already knew about that tradition, but I always thought it was kinda dumb. When I was at school at State ('82-'86), we pretty much said "Hey" to people we saw around campus, and it wasn't because we were pressured into following a tradition: you were just friendly because everyone else was.
Of course, we just did this within reason. It would be kind of a PITA to just say "Hey" to absolutely everyone. But we pretty much said "Hey" to anyone we made eye contact with, even total strangers.
Anyway, just wondering if that's still the attitude around campus.
