If you don't exhibit self-control, someone else will assert control over you.

Fact of life. From birth until death. Unavoidable. The only "right" he lost was the right to remain upright. I might be a little more forgiving if someone was stealing food to survive, but in this country that isn't even necessary. You can eat if you want to. There are programs everywhere...

In Mississippi, concealing merchandise is prima facie evidence of intent to steal. The burden then shifts to the accused to prove that he wasn't stealing.

Not to mention eliminating the future need of a "loss prevention" department, once word spreads about him getting knocked the 17 out, the loss prevention dept should be out of a job.

They don't lose all rights, just the right to walk out the door w/ somebody else stuff. In this case, thats what happened.

odds are he isnt the owner...and by the looks of him, he doesnt even look like he works there. who wears that kind of **** to work?...young guy with that gig wearing that kind of clown suit red hat and all? looks like something else to me. if its your scenario and that guy is an owner (not a manager), i have less of a problem with it. i highly doubt HIS bottom line is being affected. retail managers certainly arent supposed to lay a finger on anyone, theft or not. the liability of an act is far more damaging than the loss of a fubu vest. no matter what way you cut it, its stupid, but i must admit, i feel no sympathy for the thief. they are almost equally dumb in my mind. im also pro violence, but i try to not let that sway my opinion.

Owners aren't exempt to stupidity. I know one store owner that took a shovel and hit a customer in the face. What happened? Dude went to hospital, that's it. This particular owner had to go to court, but.... The judge deemed that the owner was acting in self defense. That's ********, the owner got pissed 'cause he wasn't gonna have anyone cuss in his store and yet... Nothing.

You see, the "Good 'Ole Boy" network is still alive and well. Just don't be stupid enough to let someone get a video on it.

Oh and 17 a thief! I haven't worked retail in over 20 years but I am sick of thieves. Someone broke in and stole all my late wife's jewelry. I can't replace that stuff. F**k a thief! I would shoot anyone stealing from me and enjoy the hell out of it! and screw anyone that says otherwise.

Guess what, I doubt I would spend a night in jail. If I did, who cares that mf is dead.

This just in, I hate a f**king thief. I guess that I am as damned as the thief for being this way but that's the way it is. I am a product of my environment.

look, i hate thieves too, but in the grand scheme of things, its sad you would want to end someones life over some jewelery or lawn equipment. i grew up in jackson and hell, im an american citizen...im used to having **** stolen from me all the time. the worst offender is the state and federal government....screw some jackass trying to pawn my weed eater.

i used to think differently, but ending someones life over something like that just isnt worth it. rape, murder, molestation are different imo, but im not gonna kill some idiot for stealing something that cost me a few bills....and im kind of a "17 that ****, you picked the wrong house" kinda guy. at the same time, i think you are 100% in your rights to do so, but ive grown to value life even at its lowest levels...after all, ive done some **** im not proud of, as have all of us. people are stupid, people make mistakes...insulate yourself from stupidity, protect yourself and your family, and your golden.
