with the birds with all of this crazy weather going on? I am not seeing the birds on the powerlines right now like I did last year. Of course the opening day hunt went to **** last year when that tropical storm rolled in. Someone explain the weather's role in deciding what the dove will do.

Had birds in North Miss two weeks ago but they have disappeared since. I think its too cool and not humid enough so they moved south thinking they were in the wrong place!Think they would be opposed to hunting on the south farm opening morning?

they don't appear to be in south ms. What kind of temps

do they like? I'm trying to get a grasp on how the migration thing works. What is strange is that we have dove seasons during the winter, so why are those birds not in south america at that time?

Not sure how they migrate either. Have been told that some birds don't migrate at all all and stay local, others migrate south in the winter but I think it depends on the length of daylight as well as the temperature. Its usually hotter fire this time of the year but its downright pleasant outside this week. I have ridden the bike to work everyday this week and have needed a jacket, that doesn't sound like August in Mississippi!

Saw quite a few in Yazoo/Sharkey Counties this past weekend. Particularly around Satartia, Holly Bluff, and Rolling Fork. Most around cut corn fields.
