Despite my reputation as a bleeding heart jackwad on this board, I think this guy is an embarrassment to our state.

And the other politicians in the room fall for it every time. They were lining up to take a swipe at Chambers after he said that. They are too stupid to realize that they are playing right into his hands. Keeps him relevant, and makes the other guys in the room look silly. Give it a couple of months and he'll say something else, and the same end result will happen.

Many may not believe me with some comments I make but I'm a fair minded person I look at actions not skin. Human Behavior attitude not skin religion etc

So here goes - I believe Ernie is as smart as anyone in the legislature on the law and when sticking to substance but when he deviates from that to basically just irritate, well I think he upsets most people immensely and probably why he does it. He has brought up really good points on race that should at least make people think in the past. But unfortunately his horrible over the top comments erase most of his good comments

Largely true. People need to understand he's just trying to rile most white folks stuck in mud but occasionally he has some points

Like this comment. It may still be racist to hate whites like he says but back in the day and in some cases still today but not as many before the 60s or 70s really they were extremely powerless so being racist didn't really change many white lives back then. His point is that blacks historically can't be racist because in Ernies eyes true racism means the power to hold you down has to exist he's right about that part

What I don't agree with is that today's America or even 1980s or 1990s = 1950 or prior . 100% false

Institutional racism is gone. If you find it its actionable and will be destroyed. What should be taught is with the right skills companies today by and large LOVE to hire minorities of course there are exceptions tho

I think he's the only thing that separates Nebraska from Kansas or Mississippi.

Yet, he keeps getting elected in his district. You can always spearhead a new campaign to get someone new in his position, but methinks the citizens in the 11th district may not vote for your candidate.

Here's the deal. No black person alive was ever a slave. No white person alive has ever owned one. Each side needs to cut the ****, and even more importantly the over-reacting and pretending to be offended. It makes things worse.

And to my knowledge he doesn't even live in that district. He sleeps in Bellevue.
