I'm just shocked she would say something like that[sick]
She gets away with it because she is a minority woman.
She said nasty things about UK fans as well. Just a loud mouth who has nothing of value to say so they just cry racism. If she were white and said something like that about Obama she would ha e been fired immediately
Ironic huh

Why didn't she lose her job? Curt Shilling did for saying MUCH less.

I am sick of ESPN!![sick]

It amazes me how this entity continues to cater to a group that is outside of the majority of it's target audience.

They fired Andy Katz and kept her? She has zero talent and many ESPN viewers voted for Trump. She should be fired tomorrow before ESPN losses another five million subscribers

I hate that we have to play this song and dance game. They're her comments. They're on her personal twitter account. They weren't said on-air.

ESPN is an entity made up of individuals. No one thinks the entire company believes Mike Trout is overrated if one person who works for them tweets it. It's built in (or should be) that we know someone's opinion is their opinion. I don't need a company to tell me they don't agree with or support something dumb their employee says.

But if they don't, people who don't actually care will pretend to get further outraged and pretend that it means Company X condones or supports whatever. Because if we use common sense and no one pretends to be mad, we can't score pretend political points for our side while we listen to people who tell us only things we agree with yell about the situation.

ESPN and Disney actually DO agree with Hill's opinions. She wouldn't have a job there if her "viewpoints" differed with the company brass.

ESPN has went out of their way to push a liberal agenda for the past 4 years. With all of the disadvantages they face from Cord Cutters, why would they inject themselves into political positions that go against the majority of their viewers?

I only watch the games with the volume turned down.

She has the right to say whatever she wants as long as she doesn't make death threats...Others have the right to read or respond to her expression of free speech as they choose.

What a person says reveals quite a bit about their character. What they do, even more.

The past 4 years? It's been going on much longer than that.

This one is sure to bring the political idiots out. You guys need to realize you aren't changing anyone's minds. Not the people you argue with nor the ones reading. Republic or Democrat ---> political argument guy is the worst.

Trump is racist.

Obama is a mooslim.

We get it.

Regardless of her politics she's an idiot, difficult to look at, and extremely annoying.

Only a few more years...with the growth of online streaming, when the NFL contract comes back up in 2020, my guess is Amazon outbids them...then espn will be gone. They are already streaming some games.

You are so correct. Trying to convince others to see your political perspective is akin to the mindset of a sports fan. Their team is always righteous and the other is always villainous. It is a deeply flawed mindset. The only difference in the political vs sports fan tribal way of thinking is that one of those ideologies is ruining our country.

If someone would have said anything similar about our previous communist Muslim President, what would have happened?

***** should have been arrested immediately and incarcerated for defamation of character.

Defamation isn't a crime.

Using Sports and Entertainment Shows to spread your Political Views and Hate is different than having a personal opinion, these Talking Heads,Actors, and Personalities would do well to keep their views to themselves,as far as I'm concerned Boycott them all until they get the message

Meh, just a racist minority spewing their vitriol. Doesn't matter. Espn will continue down the tube of oblivion due to crap just like this. This racist has a history involving comments about UK fans, which should have led to a firing. This was on private twitter, let them deal with the public backlash but doubtful anything is done to her.

That's what you get when you incorporate politics on the regular with sports. Ever listen to izzy and Spain? It's always political. I listen to sports because I hate that ****.

Stopped watching Sportscenter years ago, used to watch it every day religiously. Really only watch it now when a game is on that I want to watch.

Sportscenter became more of a "let's see what 25 people think about 'athlete' we want to promote." All sports media is doing this now. If someone comes along that they think they can promote they show that athlete all the time. Just show all teams, all highlights, and keep opinions to yourself. Ratings would go back up. I never understood why they promoted why they were in LA doing Sportscenter...does that mean they are going to show more highlights? What does that mean? Who cares where it is coming from? The guys in Conn. used to stay up pretty late to show late highlights, so what? Lot's of people work late.

Hill should be fired because ESPN set example of firing others for having personal views that may have been offensive. They started it. Once again, another "do as I say, not as I do." Wonder if Bob Ley will cover this on "Outside The Lines"? Doubt it.

Allegedly they suspended Linda Cohn for saying ESPN is talking too much politics.

It really doesn't bother me because of how little I watch unless it's documentaries or games. Network TV is mostly **** these days anyway. I prefer to binge watch shows and use Kodi for movies or premium shows now.
