If you have a Facebook acct you can sign that way. I was actually off of FB until I realized that is the only way I could sign. Jury is still out for me.

They really need to expand beyond a FB only sign in. He gave his reason (doesn't want parody/nameless people) but if you really want to troll Fancred it's not like its hard to create a fake FB. He's an MSU guy, so I'm patiently waiting to join in and I wish him the best

I have a fb account but don't link anything to it. They already have more personal info about me than I care for them to have.

I agree. When FB isn't required I will sign up that way. I have zero need for Facebook anyway.

I created a FB acct that says I'm a 90 yr old woman living in Uzbekistan and used an old Hotmail acct to do it with. I have allowed no friends on it, haven't "liked" any other sites, played any games with it, etc etc. I use it only to log into Spotify, Pandora, Twitter, anything requiring a Facebook account. Figure I'm pretty safe using it that way.

I'm in the same boat as several others

It is currently downloaded on my iPod but I am waiting for something other than the Book of Face to log in for the first time. I am being patient for now. Eventually it will get deleted though.
