Of course. The Finkenstadt Caravan to the International Bowl was the experience of a lifetime. He sat on Al’s lap most of the way. At the time no one knew Al was grooming him for an intimate relationship and whispering sweet nothings in his ear about fieldhouses.
On the way there we were lucky to get out of Elmira alive and in North Tonawanda he entered the annual porcupine eating contest on a dare and almost won.
As I’ve said since, he’s not been allowed back in the US ever since the bowl game. He’s currently a mail carrier in Mississauga Ontario
