I have a friend who is an LSU fan and who is considering coming up for the game. He wants to bring his RV but the only parking he can find is the Horse Park. That place is miles from the stadium and he wants to be within walking distance. I've never done the RV thing, so I have no clue what his options are or if he has any outside of the HP. Any advice?

Horse park is it unless he finds someone with a RV pass that is not using it and will let him use it for that game. There are plenty of spots not being used in our lot but they belong to someone and they aren't relinquishing them. I can't say I blame them because the BDC issued a letter when they moved us from the Hump that they were not going to take any new RVs, I'm not sure if that's still the policy but I haven't noticed any new faces in a few years in our lot. Tell him that several LSU RVs always stay at Dewayne Hayes campground in Columbus and I think they hire a van to haul them to the game. He might get in touch with Walter Cade of the Rolling Bulldogs and get him to send a email to all members to see if anybody's spot would be open for that game and would be willing to sublet it.

Horse Park

I did the camping thing at the horse park last season and loved it. He does know that there are shuttles running 3 hours prior to game time and 2 hours after. They pick you up and take you to the forestry building and run you back. Best option available in my opinion. You don't have to worry with finding a hotel room or a parking place. Drink as much as you want b/c you have a designated driver. The shuttles run back down Oktoc and traffic control gives the shuttles priority so traffic isn't much of a problem either.
