Get ready, the band is back. At least for Coachella. They are going to be headlining the festival. Surely more to follow. And when I say G and R, I mean the whole band, minus Izzy.

My reaction is:

Axl sounds like a croaking bullfrog, and that picture from Abro sums it up.

With or without Gilby?

What the hell is Coachella. Sounds like some artsy fashion show. Sorry for my ignorance but I really don't know what the hell it is.

That guy is a mess, proper picture or not. He had some bizarre plastic surgery that turned him Asian for a while, and during the Vegas show that was broadcast on TV you could tell that his singing was aided by taped vocals. Slash is fine. Axl Rose is a mess.

Huge music festival in Coachella, California. Been an annual event for years.
Makes sense now and you say it's been running for years how many? Never been to the Fruit Loop State so don't know much about it. Thanks for the info.

Can we expect the legendary live G 'N R professionalism? Going on stage hours late drunk and/or coked up?

Can't speak for Axl but Duff is clean and sober and I believe Slash is as well. They stand to make a lot of money on these two shows along. Like, a lot of money. They also stand to lose a lot if this doesn't go off as planned.

This isn't the 90's anymore. Bands can't pull those stunts without significant losses now. If Axl is in, which I never, ever thought would happen, you can bet he understands that that means.

Been happening for 15 or 20 years. Massive festival in Indio California. If you like live music, it is probably the best festival you will ever go to. I have been to a bunch here and abroad and Coachella has it all. Huge polo grounds with 8 stages along with tents, over 3 days.

Yea I just looked it up on wiki man am I out of the music scene. Looks like a huge festival spread over three days. Well I guess I stopped following musical acts when the Allman brothers stopped touring so I'm kinda old now.

Unless Axl had a complete spiritual awakening, he'll be a mess. I doubt Slash would have agreed to this if he didn't have some confidence in him

As good as New Orleans Jazz Fest & Bonnaroo ?

Much better, IMO. The weather is much likely better for starters, and the vibe is just good. Really good. Bonnaroo, while fun, is too remote. Jazzfest is fun, but not the level of Coachella, imo.

They are all better than the festivals in England though, especially Glastonbury. That is a full on mission, even with connections.
