Anyone catch the pilot episode tonight? I thought it was really good, and looks like it should be a pretty intense show. At least it will pass the time between Board Walk Empire and Game of Thrones. What do you think ?

I read that each season is going to be a stand alone show. Should be pretty interesting since they'd be more likely to get high quality actors for a season at a time
I liked it. It seems MM shot this while doing Dallas Buyers Club since he looks like an AIDS patient in both. I am curious about his character transformation from nerdy weirdo to Wooderson at his 20th HS reunion

And tonight will go down as a terrific night of TV. I had totally forgotten about True Detective, and I thought it was fantastic. MM's movie Mud was pretty solid recently too. It looks like this will feel like one really long movie.
