So a few months back I bought a Samsung 55 inch LED (2011 model).Got a HDMI hooked up to the Comcast DVR box running straight to the TV for now.<div>
</div><div>Problem I keep having is for lack of a better word "picture sputtering" like I'm not getting all the frames through or something. It's not constant but pops up from time to time and it's not only on fast moving action.</div><div>
</div><div>My initial guess is that its the Comcast feed b/c i already have to have a booster attached to my lines. But I don't recall noticing it when I had a much smaller TV hooked up to the box (without the HDMI)...so could it be the HDMI cable or the TV itself?</div><div>
</div><div>This is the only HD box in the house right now so i can't compare it to my other TVs.</div><div>
</div><div>Any ideas as it's annoying the crap out of me and i'm an idiot with this stuff.</div><div>
</div><div>
</div>

Sounds like a Comcast problem.

If you have PS3 or something else in the hosue with an HDMI cable, you could try swapping cables but I doubt that will help.

I had a similar problem recently and fixed it myself.
Trace your cable back to where it is split, you want your HDTV to have the strongest signal. I have a three-way splitter where my cable comes into my house(grey box), two go to my HDTV's the other is split again 3 ways for my other tv's.

You might want to try this yourself before you call Comcast.

If you try it and it doesn't work and Comcast comes out and asks if you messed with it, the answer is "no".

Dish and Direct may have their downsides too, but damn. At least on satellite, when you have the signal, it's perfect. Period. No "fades in and out" or "sputtering" picture. It's there. It's perfect. As long as there is not a hurricane brewing outside.
