Guinness extra stout isn’t that bad. But there are way better options out thereThe first 2 episodes do not disappoint. I guess I'll have to try that stout again. Hated it when I tried it 20 years ago.
I’ve heard this from multiple peopleIf you ever go to Ireland then try it. Big difference in the taste. Like comparing an ice cold Budweiser bottle to a Natty that has been sitting in the bed of a truck for the weekend.
I drank my weight in Guinness a few weeks ago in Dublin. Probably more of a "when in Rome / subliminal" deal but I absolutely agree with them.I’ve heard this from multiple people
I can confirm. I'm not really a Guinness fan, at all, but went and toured the Guinness factory in Dublin while there. The last stop on the tour is in the tasting room on the top floor with a great view of the city of Dublin and the sea. The Guinness there was really, really good. Came home, bought some, never finished it tasted very different. If you ever go to Ireland then try it. Big difference in the taste. Try a black and tan. It’s half Guinness and half Harp. I don’t like Guinness alone but I like a black and tan.The first 2 episodes do not disappoint. I guess I'll have to try that stout again. Hated it when I tried it 20 years ago.
Blacksmith is better in my opinion. Half Guinness half SmithwicksTry a black and tan. It’s half Guinness and half Harp. I don’t like Guinness alone but I like a black and tan.
I like Smithwicks but haven’t combined them. Will try that at next bar that has them on tap. Loved Guinness in Ireland but also love it on draft here, especially if they pour it right. Don’t like it out of the can or bottleBlacksmith is better in my opinion. Half Guinness half Smithwicks
But whatever you do…Try a black and tan. It’s half Guinness and half Harp. I don’t like Guinness alone but I like a black and tan.
Next thing you'll say is don't call a shot of Irish Cream and Irish Whiskey dropped into a pint of Guiness an Irish Car Bomb. But whatever you do…
DO NOT CALL IT A BLACK & TAN… ESPECIALLY if you’re in Ireland…
Just call it a Half and Half
Black and tan is considered to be offensive because…

That tour is my favorite that I have taken of a brewery. Cool building with a fantastic view of Dublin.I can confirm. Interesting note: The original lease on that land and factory signed in 1759 was/is 9,000 years at £45 per year..................
Yeah. Irish stout. It's definitely not your typical British or American stout, but its dry, light profile definitely has a place and its advantages. You can drink about 10 pints is one.Guinness extra stout isn’t that bad. But there are way better options out there
