OT: How would you repair about 1" deep, 6 sq ft hole from dog digging?

It's in the corner of my yard at fence (bermuda grass). I was thinking about throwing a bag of potting soil on it and then a bag of sand on top of that, letting the bermuda spread back over hole...and something creative to keep the dog away. I'm no genius when it comes to yard stuff, so any comments (help) would be keep my wife happy.

Thanks.

From what I'm hearing, you can either mate with the dog or bury your head in the sand. The choice is yours. Or is it?

How often do you wear his *** out on a walk or run? It won't stop if he has a ton of energy from sitting in the yard all day.

I thought about coming up with a catchy response, but this just doesn't make sense. You need to practice the "less is more" concept.

Forget the cayenne

I tried it last year. Bought an industrial sized container of it, covered my entire yard, and my dog ate every bit of it. I planted a rose bush in his hole, turned the surrounding area into a bed, and covered with an inch or two of mulch. Seems to have worked so far.

Actually, that's partly true. I got my yellow lab to quit digging by filling the holes he dug with his **** then covering it up with dirt....he tried digging them back out a couple of times but once he got to the **** he stopped. After a few times of doing that, he gave up on digging all together

Try scooping its poop

And put the poop in the area where the dog is digging. This worked with my dogs

I had an American bulldog and the cayenne trick didn't work. So I bought an electrical fence and after about 10 shocks he never went back. I don't even have to keep the fence on now, the thought of that fence does enough.

I've got one of those. It keeps the kids of that damn trampoline I gave them last Christmas like a charm.

it's pretty simple. Put a shock collar on the dog. watch and when the dog starts digging burn his ***. It won't take long and the dog will quit the
digging.
