I swore I would never watch "The Blind Side" because I always felt the whole deal was just a crock of ****! Well, the wife talked me into it and I can now confirm<div>that the whole deal was a crock of ****. I will admit it was a well made movie with some touching moments but it didn't change my opinion of the whole affair.</div>

and guided to Ole Miss by The Tuhoy's. That's my opinion, one of many differing ones out there. It bothered me because I felt like it would open<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><div>up Pandora's box and the movie validates that concern.</div>

which purports itself as a true story is pretty much total ********. The Queen Mel bangs wasn't even born when he died I think.

Rather, the general series of events. I've often thought that the Tuohys just rode a hude cash cow for themselves and their university, and I guess I can't blame them. There's, what, hundreds? thousands? of homeless people who live in and around the Memphis area? And the Tuohys just so happened to adopt some beast of an athlete that everybody was apparently drooling over? C'mon, get that **** out of here.

Regardless, it worked out, and if given the opportunity I'd at the very least think about it.

never watched it and will never watch it, and it's not because I think there are a great deal of inaccuracies, but mainly because it just looks like a dubmass move. It could be about Washington State, and I would still think it looked dumb. Maybe if I were 12, it would be appealing.

was already a five-star OT and one of the top linemen in the country BEFORE he even heard of the Touhy's. Sorry to break the news ... Leigh Anne really didn't teach Michael how to play football.

Seems more likely they would adopt that particular homeless kid rather than some random one off the street.

Just very odd to me that they never adopted before or have ever adopted again. Just happened to adopt a giant offensive lineman that ended up going to TSUN. It all is a little too fishy for me.

Oher was still staying with several different families (including the Tuohys) through his First Team Tennessee All-State season and during the next spring practice, where Lemming called Oher the next great left tackle and coaches were flying in from all over the country to see him(see the timeline in the 2009 Oher thread linked above).

But OM alums have been doing this a long time. Back in the 1950's (under Vaught)they even were adopting high school athletes after their senior seasons in football. From the NCAA infractions database: https://web1.ncaa.org/LSDBi/ex...mp;publicTerms=

This is currently on the front page of Reuters when I was reading about the Colorado wildfires. A lot of thought went into that bottom left caption.<div>
