about my assumption that the Brown U. shooter was specifically targeting the young lady student from Alabama who was involved in the Campus Conservative Student's group. That was before the MIT professor was murdered, and again, I also mistakenly assumed the MIT prof was an unrelated incident. It looks to me now that the Portuguese killer had a beef with Brown U. and its engineering/science area, etc. Ella Cook and the pre-med male student, along with others just happened to randomly be in the wrong place at the wrong time as he sprayed bullets everywhere. And apparently the MIT prof did have a strong connection with the killer as both previously went to school together seeking a higher degree in their field of study.....then the prof succeeded, the killer did not, likely leaving hard enough feelings to motivate the killer to drive to Brookline, MA and do the horrendous act.....resulting in ruining a 3rd family forever. a father with small children to boot. What a cluster! Feels like another episode of Fargo. A lot of lost brain power and good people. Rest in Peace.

It is very cool to follow up on this and post more info that changed your mind.
When tragedies strike, it can be difficult to wait for verified and applicable info to come out, and not go off of misinformation/disinformation/vibes to draw incorrect early conclusions. But waiting for actual verified and applicable info to come out sure is best.

A couple days ago I heard that mass shootings are down this year, but we will still end the year with close to 400 mass shootings in the US.
I say this because unfortunately, you will not need to wait long for another tragedy to strike.

Ok good start. Now make a thread about being wrong about the definition of a baseball battery next.
No can do bro'. Been using "battery" for baseball since a kid and also heard just about every MLB announcer dead & alive use it the same way.......forever. If you don't like it, then don't say anything about it. Save yourself some heart ache.

So, battery does not describe the Pitcher/catcher combo?

How in the world could you have jumped to your original conclusion with the evidence that was out there? I’m sorry but that was insanity. There was absolutely zero public evidence for that. The lesson should be to let it play out before jumping to conclusions. This one will be some sort of convoluted story when it all comes out.

No, but I thanked Harry Carey and Joe Buck for using the term exactly the way I described it.....on the radio with my ears.....not from the internet. I'm sure we can trust the internet and AI, right? I'm sorry....don't know who Drebin is.

Did Harry & Joe ever define the term, on the radio, for you, or did you just assume, erroneously, you knew what they were talking about?

What am I eating humble pie for? I'm repeating what the girl's parents said the police told her. And the MIT thing doesn't change that. But I can certainly understand the strong desire to want to change the narrative.

"After the girl was shot, the shooting stopped. She was the target.

This story is already disappearing. School admin has given an 'all clear' to the students despite a shooter still being at large. There's a reason mainstream media doesn't want to talk about this. You know it and if you were honest you would admit it.
"

This was part of a longer discussion on whether the shooting was a "targeted attack on conservatives," or something else. Aren't you mad at Newsmax for making you look like a fool again? I would be if I were you.
