Holy cow, that highway is scary! People were trapped in their cars between the median barrier and an 18 wheeler. Thank god there was no fire. Might be the worst stretch of hwy in PA. Jeeesh.
OT - I78 in Berks and Lehigh

for whatever reason, that stretch has been a magnet for crashes for years.
An Olympic swimmer and Big ten coach from our area was killed in an accident like that. Crowded highways in bad conditions scare me ever since that incident.
They actually vastly improved I-78 through much of Berks with climbing lanes and evening out those very narrow perspectives. 78 through the Lehigh Valley is very crowded, even where it is 6 lanes through Allentown. It is an area of PA with solid population growth and it serves as a huge logistical hub for the northeast.
