OT: Illinois Cleans House

We will never know for sure, but if this Illinois report has some damaging findings I would bet there was some PR-savvy person there who realized the best thing to do would be to get everything out on the day the media is fixated on the Missouri boycott story.
If the Rutgers investigation turns up anything, based on RU's past ineptness, they will release it on the day after the MLB all star game when no other sports are going on and ESPN can give it wall to wall coverage.

Actually it was more than the football program that was being investigated .

personally, if major facts are uncovered , which I doubt ,RU must do the same
Are you people actually criticizing Rutgers because they have an investigation ongoing...didnt the Illinois stuff happen before the Rutgers stuff...geesh
I'm not really criticizing anyone..can't speak for anyone else.
Illinois did this the right way, and can only hope Rutgers does it right as well. Hopefully the results come out soon.
Illinois is investigating things that actually require prompt investigation. RU is basically doing a lengthy background check on the program, similar to ones other schools have done. Not really similar other than the word investigation.
