Mug n Bun in Speedway. It's an old fashioned drive-in, with some outside seating. Great rootbeer. We were just there a few weeks ago.If you have never had a pork tenderloin sandwich, give it a try.

Speaking of tender loins, Bob will be right back.![]()
St. Elmo's. I have not been there, however. All I know is on NFL radio the scouts coming to the combine all rave about a steak house there. Best they have ever had. They are sincere. I don’t remember the name but I believe it’s close to the dome

If you have young children, people rave about their children’s museum. I took mine there and didn’t love it but I am an outlier on that.Heading for a family visit in September. Is there anything I should see or do thereabouts? Restaurant recommendations? Also visiting Purdue West Lafayette. Thanks
Here’s a unique idea. Take the family and pitch a tentHeading for a family visit in September. Is there anything I should see or do thereabouts? Restaurant recommendations? Also visiting Purdue West Lafayette. Thanks

Not original poster, but I have eaten at many steakhouses and st Elmo’s is right up there. Bern in Tampa is excellent and a great dining experience (upstairs dessert room). Gibsons in Chicago and Mannys in Minneapolis are two of the best. Bavette in Chicago is very good, dimly lighted, speak easy feel. Chicago Cut is excellent, great views. Been a few years, but Giumarellos in Haddon Two, New Jersey is right at the top.Forgive me but what is the best steak you ever had?
We took a trip there with ours kids a few years ago (based around an Irish dance competition) and loved it.Indy sucks except for St. Elmo’s. Very depressing city.
You fail as well.Indy sucks except for St. Elmo’s. Very depressing city.
It is no longer there, but N9NE in Vegas.Forgive me but what is the best steak you ever had?
I think it's newly renovated. Saw an article recently. Also James Whitcomb Reilly's house (he wrote the original "Lil' Orphan Annie" poem). If interested.. President Benjamin Harrison's home is pretty awesome!
Did they give it a new open floor plan?I think it's newly renovated. Saw an article recently. Also James Whitcomb Reilly's house (he wrote the original "Lil' Orphan Annie" poem).
For those commenting on my Indy sucks comment, I am certainly glad you enjoy that shizzole.
That can be said about any state depending on point of view.Best thing to do in Indiana is to keep driving through it to get to somewhere good.
