Wife got me an iPad for my birthday, received it last night. Never been an apple person before so clueless on the Apps - Suggestions for a normal guy that watches lots of sports?

Also get the Kindle reader app if you read- you'll have to order the books through the Amazon website; iBooks is already loaded but a good source for books. Sporting News has a decent app that updates every day. Also ESPN Scorecenter XL.

Love my IPAD. USA Today has a free app which I use, particularly when traveling. Most airlines have apps which you can use to check your flights. TripAdvisor has a GREAT app. I use ibooks for reading, not Kindle. When flying I use the free video poker app and free solitaire to pass the time. You'll love the ipad!

Zite, Pulse, 1Password, Dropbox, Twitter, Facebook, iThoughtsHD, GoodReader, Evernote, Workflowy, Agenda, Toodledo, Kindle, iBooks, Instapaper, WunderMap, Chrome, and Trip Advisor.

Other than the browser and email app, I probably use Pulse, Zite, and Kindle more than the others. Reeder is also a popular news app but I've never used it.

Chrome is my default desktop browser. The Chrome sync between my desktop, iPhone and iPad is pretty sweet.

Scanner Pro is a great scanner app (I have it on my iPhone) and I understand it works very well on the iPad (I have iPad 1 without the camera so no scanning on it).
