Anyone upgrade yet? Mine has been pretty solid so far with the Max. Battery life has really improved. Apparently that’s partially due to ditching the ForceTouch hardware.

Camera is cool. The wide angle stuff is fine.

The new IOS was rather buggy on my 10. Seems improved on the 11.

To me, it’s not like new phones do much more than the previous models. I’m gonna stick with my 8s+ or whatever it’s called for a while.

You must be rich, you have a 10 and you are talking about upgrading to an 11? I have a 7 and only have that because my drunk *** fell in the ocean and ruined my 4. Can I have your hand me downs?

I’ve also had a 7 for 3 years now. It makes calls, takes pictures, texts, sends emails and accessed sps. That’s pretty much all I need. I know I could do that an an Android, but I’m too used to apples os now that there’s no way I could go back. Until my phone breaks or won’t hold a battery past lunch, I’ll keep it.

I still have the 6S. It has everything I want. All I want is Siri, Apple Pay, fingerprint recognition, safari, email, messaging, and.. well.. a phone.

Only thing ive done to it was put it in a case and have a battery replaced in it at the Apple store.

It’ll crash one day. I hope it’s the 15 out when that happens.

My first iPhone was the X back earlier this spring and I LOVE IT.

I'll keep it a while until the 5G comes out. I think AAPL is due for a super cycle upgrade based on 5G which won't be until 2020, but if I'm right, stock will move before the numbers start rolling in. Stocks have an uncanny way of pricing in data (good or bad) that's yet to be revealed.

I know you asked about the 11 and not the stock. Glad you're enjoying it.

Face recognition is something I didn't think I would care about but it's so much nicer than fingerprints.

I put the new iOS (iOS 13) on my 8 Plus a few days ago and haven't had any problems. I like the dark mode. I haven't really explored all the new features. I can't tell that it's any faster than the previous 12.something.

Ahh. I got a life proof case on it. It’s covered for water. A phone in my hands is far more likely to die by falls than water if there is no case on it.

ive heard the facial recognition is handy. I’ll no doubt have to upgrade when the logic board melts in it or IOS upgrades eventually eat up the storage. Now that I’ve said it.. it may not last the day.

Held off smart phones altogether until finally getting an XS three months ago. No complaints other than face recognition not working very well in lower light situations. I'll be skipping the 11 for sure... maybe the next one will have some compelling feature. (The dual camera setup on the XS work very well.)

Total edit: I looked up how to turn the block spammers and turned it on. That means that legitimate callers (like perhaps servicemen) will also be blocked if they're not in your contact list, so it'll pay to check the voicemail and recent callls list.

I go back and forth between bearded and beardless. Not sure how facial recognition is affected by this. It's why I haven't turned it on.

You're paying for that though. I have the buy and hold program. Still using my 6, which works just fine for my purposes after almost 4 years. When it doesn't, I'll trade in for the 2nd most current model at the time. But if you're heavy user, I can see how your strategy could make sense.

I expect 6 to be phased out pretty soon based on some emails I’ve seen with support for 6 and apps support for the 6.

Still have a 6S also. I hate the larger phones.

I've got a refurb Samsung that was pretty cool in 2013. But I need a newer refurb.

I still consider my 8-Plus to be "new". Upgrading to the new iOS13 seems to have been a good thing though.

Yeah, I've seen that they'll quit updating it in November. Trying to decide if I'm going to upgrade to the X then or see if I can get another year out of it.

I've had a 7+ for two and a half years. I might get a replacement battery for it in the next couple months or so.

Got me an 11 Pro last Friday, after I got it set up all seems to be well. No complaints. The camera is fine. I do wish size wise, the Pro would be as wide as the 11, pro is a lil’ narrow for bigger hands.

Depends on what all apps you use. If you use a bunch of apps regularly I would recommend the upgrade to at least an 8. The technology is more similar on an 8 to a 6. The X they took away the home button. If you are wanting to try out the newer features go for the X.

I had a Grizzly Adams beard and shaved it all the way off in July. I had to redo my facial scan. Haven't shaved since and I haven't had to fix it again. I guess incremental changes like growing facial hair doesn't affect it. Drastic changes do though.

Lol.. don’t sweat all the blue hairs in this thread, 57. When I’m old and retired I’ll boast about my 4 year old cell phone like it’s my badge of honor too. Like my pops making calls from the golf course everyday on the Motorola flip.

In the meantime, young whipper snappers like us have to make a living with a smart phone and I’ll take any upgrade I can get. The Wife just got an 11 Pro and I’m jelly....
