Does anyone have any experience with using one of these? I'm looking at the android quad core box but I can't find reviews or anything online about them.
Really only use cable for MLB/NCAAF/NFL. Apparently this streams live cable using your Internet connection. But, seems too good to be true.

I don't know if it's the same or not, but certain "overseas" servers were set up to stream satellite signals when satellite card hacking was shut down. It is, or was, illegal for obvious reasons. Plus the people were easy to catch, especially if there was no proxy used.

The sat card and FTA hacking is gone. The sat companies now use the same contractors that provide encryption to the government. Not saying its unhackabke, but you are an immediate target for the justice department if you start tinkering with encryption that the government uses.

The cliff notes are.... 99% chance it's not legal if it's not a scam. Plus you might as well mail them a letter telling the Feds what you are doing and what time you get home if you use your home internet.

I use XBMC on my laptop..

I basically stream any movie available to man-kind through my laptop to my projector. It also allows access to ESPN3 without a subscription or cable provider.

You can watch UFC fights, tv shows, you name it. It's a one-stop-shop after you customize it. Take a few looks at a youtube video and you'll be sold on it. Plus it's free.

I've just VPNed at my place with a nice router. Try it and you'll thank me later.

I chuckled.. But please don't put that bad JuJu on me. I'm only streaming content. It's not a paid service. As of right now this is still a grey area.

If you don't have ESPN then it's worth it just for that reason. XBMC.. You know you want to..

I'm not sure that's a grey area. Maybe since you are streaming and not downloading, you are not actually the one violating copyright? I don't think it matters that it's not a paid service.

I have a Matricom G-Box Midnight MX2 that came preloaded with XBMC

Streams all movies, tv shows, and some live tv. I found the Big Ten Network in HD on there, so I'm hoping it'll have the SEC Network. I also have emulators on it to play N64 and SNES games. My computer engineer friend recommended it to me. Another friend of mine has an older model Apple TV that's been jailbroken with XBMC on it. Some of the setup was a bit complicated, but so far it has been awesome.

It actually sort of is. Streaming a movie and watching alone is sort of legal

right now. However you can't show it to a group of people, or have any of it download to your computer. Sometimes even while streaming a temporary copy is stored on your computer, which would make it illegal. The site hosting and streaming to you is breaking the law, but right now simply watching it supposedly is not. Downloading anything certainly is.

What are you using to view movies and shows? I've only been using it for basic stuff like funnyordie, collegehumor, etc.

If you're referring to XBMC. I use ICEfilms, Filmkz, Channel1, ESPN, hell you can stream live feeds of basically any television network. Get on youtube or read a blog on what the best movie apps are and how to install the repositories on your operating system.

Got it on Amazon for $97. Bought a Logitech wireless keyboard with a mouse attached on it for $30 and a $12 Super Nintendo USB controller. I'm really enjoying it. I've had to watch a lot of YouTube videos like how to set up XBMC with add-ons to watch movies and shows. Still don't understand it completely but learning fast.

Wanted to bump this for some relevant info. Anyone interested in a streaming Xbmc box, they have some OUYA boxes at Dirt Cheap in Starkville for $45 (70% off of $150). You can dl Xbmc with a couple of clicks from the OUYA store.

Its also a pretty neat gaming console.
