Amazing that he lasted this long. He coached for 22 years, had 6 winning seasons, has not had a winning season since 2008 and somehow kept his job. To put it in perspective, Kentucky has had 7 winning seasons in the same time frame, and gone through 6 coaches.

Jon Gruden has also been mentioned. Not sure if there's an ounce of truth in it or just wishful thinking..

As a Ram's fan Christmas came early! Field Goal Fisher has always been a joke and the past 4 years I've had to stomach his worthless *** after years of laughing at Titan's fans calling him a "great coach".

Just glad we got him out of there before he had a chance to ruin Goff. Have I mentioned I despise Fisher?

Fisher was a solid coach in tn. Anyone calling him great is an idiot.

I'm guessing Todd Gurley saying the Rams were running a Middle School offense didn't help matters.

Fisher was conservative stuck in 80's football garbage who lucked into one Super Bowl run.

Yeah, Titans should have won at least one Super Bowl in 2000 or 2008. Fisher choking it away in 2008 to another inferior Ravens' team was the last straw for me as a fan.

Harbaugh ain't leave Michigan. No way I believe that

The Rams ain't payin anyone $5 mil+ a year which is what Harbough is bringing in at Michigan. They may gauge his interest to see if he's willing to take a pay cut to get back in the league but I seriously doubt he'd be willing to and doubt even more the Rams would even match his current salary let alone give him a raise to come.

All I know is whoever they get, I hope its somebody that can run an offense that sets Todd Gurley loose.

Because he got the extension before Todd Gurley came out criticizing his offense as being Middle School.

He is arguably the most overrated coach of all time. Truly don't know how he has lasted this long. I laugh everytime I see that dude lose. Freddie Mercury called and wants his mustache back.

Yahoo said earlier today that Pete Carroll was the dream candidate.

I don't doubt that Harbaugh says or thinks he likes the pro game better than the college game. But that's only half the story seems to me. What if he is just temperamentally better suited to the college game? He very much seems to be a guy who is hard to work with and wears out his welcome in a few years. Better to do that with college kids, who I) are only around a few years and II) are only 18-22, and therefore more likely to tolerate an authoritarian figure, anyway....

I kinda would rather he stay in college, though I don't really care one way or the other. There are 3 "giants" in college coaching, IMO - Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh......

Fisher made $7 million/year

Damn! That's crazy! I didn't know the NFL was payin coaches like that. Maybe they have a chance to land Harbough then if they're talking $10 mil per. That's just insane to me. If they come with that offer there's no way UM could match that or even come close.

So what's Saban and Meyer making? They gotta be $10 mil guys right? I thought we were finally getting serious about payin our coaches when we gave Stoops $3.5 lmao. Harbough looses that much in his couch cushions. These coaching salaries are getting out of hand.

Why give the guy extension then fire him?

His contract was extended back in August, but they didn't hold a press conference to announce it, then it leaked out a few weeks ago that he had a 2 year extension.

You realize the Rams owner Kroenke is the richest owner in sports....dude has 7.5 billion. He wants to make splash and would damn sure pay Carrol or Harbaugh 10 mil. This dude can pay more than any other owner and is said to be willing to.do so for a big name coach
