I'm more of a hollow earther; I have a expedition beneath Mt Shasta planned right after I bag a Sasquatch.
I landed in Jackson Hole a few years ago and was staying in Teton Village, so a bit of a drive from the airport. No Ubers were available and everyone else had cars reserved. I saw this guy with a Tahoe, and he said he’d drive me for $90. I was annoyed but didn’t have good options. He was alright for most of the drive, telling me about the area and whatever, but right before we got to my hotel, he goes, “Yeah, really can’t believe people think the world is round. They’re brainwashed by all the billionaires. The Bible clearly says the Earth is flat.” Similar to most arguments on SPS, I didn’t engage

Should have asked him if he supports GA Congressman Hank Johnson and his belief that the Navy base on Guam was going to make that island tip over or sink?

A lot of you guys are engineers. How high do you have to fly to be able to see the curvature of the earth?
Not sure how high but approaching shore from 25-30 miles offshore on a clear day reveals a curve.
I don't believe the moon shots were fake, but it's believable to me that we would fake it in an effort to demoralize the soviets and if you don't understand government incompetence, the statement that we can't currently return to the moon seems pretty wild. I have at least a spec of sympathy for this one.
I think they were just killed by a crazy person and essentially a jihadist although I don't think he identified as that, but it's not absurd to me that people believe the mob was involved. That's not exactly a far fetched risk when you keep company like that. Kind of like with the Sherry murders on the coast. Yes, it's possible there was some grand conspiracy and it's possible there was just some random violence by a crazy person, but when people associate with criminals, that's usually a good place to look first.
